ASSIGNMENT: Example of Values and Ethics

Create 5 example scenarios in where we can observe values and ethics.

Answer:

1. A rare illness has taken my partner's life. Fortunately, a cure has recently
been developed by a pharmacist who lives close to you. The druggist, on the
other hand, is selling the treatment for 10 times what it cost him to create it.
I'm in desperate need of funds; even borrowing from friends and taking out a
bank loan will only get me halfway there. I implore him to sell it for a lower
price because my partner is dying. I think I could break into his business after
he's gone home one night and grab the cure. This would undoubtedly rescue
my companion, notwithstanding the possibility that I might be charged with
the crime.

2. A football coach witnessed one of his "superstar" players breaking a game

regulation. The game's referee failed to notice the player's activity. The team's
current game is crucial because if they win, they will automatically progress to
the final round. If they are discovered breaching the rules, they will be
disqualified from the final round. The coach didn't want his team to lose the
game, but he saw that one of his players had broken a rule.

3. Mario works as a doctor in a hospital. There are dangerous gases coming up

through the hospital's ventilation system due to an accident at the building
next door. Four of her patients are in a specific hospital room. One of his
patients is in a different room. If she does nothing, the gases will ascend into
the room with the four patients, killing them. The only way to save these
patients from dying is to turn on a switch that causes the fumes to bypass the
four patients' room. As a result of this, fumes will reach the chamber housing
the solitary patient, which he does not want. This lady will die if she does, but
the other four patients will live.

4. Timothy and Daniel were two of Rafaelo's many pals. Timohty has lately met
and begun dating Micaela, a lovely lady. He is certain that this is going to be a
long-term relationship. Unknown to Timothy, Rafaelo had seen them at a
 restaurant a few days before and recognized Micaela as the wife of another of
his friends, Daniel. Rafaelo is not yet decided if he will save their friendship by
not telling it, or tell the truth to Timothy and Daniel, knowing that it could
destroy two relationships, their friendship and the married couple.

5. Consider a circumstance in which a group of individuals is having fun together

on an outdoor trip. One person becomes trapped in an enclosed place, such
as a cave, with no way in or out. Due to high tide or severe rains, water
begins to rise in the cave. If the individual is not removed from the entryway,
everyone will perish. They can't seem to make up their minds on what to do.
Although it is widely acknowledged that killing someone is wrong, that
extreme action that would cost one member of the group their life in order to
save the lives of others is not.
