PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE RECORD
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PURPOSE : :-

The purpose of maintaining a record of practical work is to ensure that the student nurse has been

instructed in the various types of nursing procedures and to record whether or not she has performed the

procedures to the satisfaction of the ward sister and sister tutor. This record provides information to

appointing authorities regarding the practical experience during training of the

individual nurse.

RULES :-

1. The student should be responsible herself for getting the book filled and signed by the respective

authorities.

2. She should realize that it is part of her training to seek apportunities for new experience and

practice.

3. The procedure should be signed after the student has done the procedure under the supervision of

college staff whom the principal feels capable of observing the procedure.

4. Practical record sheet will be scrutinized by the examiners during practical examination.
