b. Putting hands on your lap signals lack of self confidence
c. Twirling your hair shows nervousness or being childish
d. Stand up when someone else comes into the room. Not standing is a sign of
disrespect or bad manners
e. Stay focus during the interview. Maintain eye contact with the interviewer.
Not doing so shows lack of self-confidence and poor manners.
4. Dress properly. Know the dress culture of the company before going for an interview.
Dark suit, white shirt, clean finger nails, simple make-up and shiny
shoes are very acceptable.
6. Smile naturally. This will signify confidence, friendliness and being approachable.
These are personal qualities of lasting impressions.
7. Take the water. If the interviewer offers you a glass of water, take it even if you
are not thirsty. This will give you time to be composed and to gather your thoughts for
the good answers to the questions asked.
8. Know your proper table manners. Some interviews are conducted over a meal,
so observing table etiquette is necessary.
9. Ask questions. Doing so indicates interest and the desire to be informed. Ask about
corporate culture, the type of tasks in the applied position, etc. But never
ask about salaries and benefits. These will be given to you once you are offered
a contract.
