The average of the Quarterly Grades (QG) produces the Final Grade.
Final grade by
Learning Area = 1st quarter grade+ 2nd quarter grade +3rd quarter grade+4th quarter grade
The General Average is computed by dividing the sum of all final grades by the total number of learning areas. Each learning
area has equal weight.
The Final Grade in each learning area and the General Average are reported as whole numbers.
For Grades
11 and 12 the two quarters determine the Final Grade in a semester.

Teachers from the Senior High School Department must familiarize his/herself the list of core, applied, and specialized subject from each
strand for an accurate computation of grades.
Ceiling grade should be applied to all grade levels from Elementary to Senior high school. This will be used as a floor grade
considered as the highest possible grade that will appear in a learner’s report card.
Ranking of the students in class should be quarterly done from first to fourth quarter, so with the final average.

Teachers must follow the standard form of ranking the students in his/her advisory class
1. To rank the students with similar average, add the rank order of each student then divide by the total number of students with same
average.
2. The teacher must continue the numbering until all the students are present in ranking the class.
