The world after the pandemic
Due to the confinement of the covid-19 pandemic, households have become
vulnerable to this, I mean that they are in precarious conditions whose conditions in homes in Venezuela would be the lack of drinking water, the lack of medicines, the shortage of food, the bad services (telephone, electricity and internet) among others ... countries or places in the world also have these problems, it is estimated that in Latin America more than 5 million families depend on close people to access a home, 3 million people who They have their homes are in critical condition since most do not have basic services, if this confinement caused by the pandemic places us in an experience never lived And I say never because it has been one of the strongest pandemics that the whole world has been able to face has been able to face. The construction of new homes should be taken into account mainly. But for this, we have to take into account dimensions, numbers of bedrooms, numbers of homes, for the new places that will be carried out in the future that would be carried out after this pandemic encompassing all the needs presented by the family, today in this way the house should be built with more recreation space for children and for adults also have a minimum of 4 to 5 bedrooms to be able to all be in a comfortable and stable place. These should have 100% equipment, I mean that they would have to have all their sanitary supplies, mineral water tanks fully filled and with all this have better use of the plot in each Urbanization, that there are at least 4 shops with everything ( food, medicine, clothing) the houses are going to be built for the community of the human being and something very important that cannot be missing for me would be the space of a garden or in any case an orchard where different types of crops can be planted, even medicinal plants. The rooms and bathrooms are a very important point when it comes to hygiene. Since the rooms are where we rest all that effort that we have made in the day and in the bathrooms is where we perform the needs of the body, for this reason you should build a bathroom in all the bedrooms since they are important, because this would help to isolate contagious diseases in the future and thus not run the risk of making family members, friends and the whole world sick ... This should be taken to the rulers of the countries so that they take measures and place themselves in the shoes of the citizens To understand this situation, many people are in places that have nothing more than 2 rooms and have 4 to 6 individuals, if the aforementioned measures were taken, the houses already mentioned would be carried out, thus giving them a better living and more comfort to be prepared for another possible health crisis. Naysayers fear that small grassroots arts centers - historic sources of talent - will disappear in a new era of lean budgets. Local councils will have to sell their works of art and thousands of jobs will be lost. An industry that was previously known for its dynamics and imagination will become conservative and reluctant to take risks. I suspect that reality will fit between these two visions. The post-lockdown transition from closed to bustling rooms will not be immediate. Social distancing will likely limit activity. Producers will need time to rehearse and refine their shows. There will also be limits on the size of technical film and television crews producing new content. Program repeats will be on the menu for some time. But let's not forget that the creative industries have long been strong economic engines. They are recognized around the world and are full of individual talent. Many of these centers have been restricted to give them to those patients who carry COVID-19, and that must change because health protocols are not being respected, giving an end to this, it can be said that The architecture with this biological problem has developed Projects like this one (cases that have prevention against covid-19), which tries to deal with health problems that persist in certain regions of the world, or like those facing modern epidemics, such as urban designs to make cities in which people You can move on foot or by bicycle (exercising instead of sitting in a car), they are proof that architecture and health walk together. The 21st century has so far seen Sars, Mers, Ebola, bird flu, swine flu, and now covid-19. If we have indeed entered an era of pandemics, we would have to design the cities of tomorrow so that the exterior does not become a forbidden zone, but remains a safe and habitable space. With this in mind, several architectural firms have been projecting changes that augur from the end of the skyscrapers to the massive introduction of technologies that allow us to go through life without coming into direct contact with anything that surrounds us. Airborne diseases (in history, at least) have not had much of an impact on architecture. What may change due to the coronavirus is the construction for distancing, so that spaces such as open offices can go out of style, or theaters with more widely spaced places. With airborne diseases, there is not much you can do to buildings or the design of cities. For the first time in a fairly global way we are experiencing a new vision of our domestic sphere, which has had to become our gym, the children's school, our workplace, our area of reflection and meditation, the space in which we have than interacting with friends. I also think that we have to think about how we can create containment spaces so that there is a faster reaction. In addition to determining protocols and guidelines that require measures of social distancing, cleaning and disinfection within the works, international experience highlights the importance of communicating these guidelines through easy-to- understand guides, as well as induction courses for workers. Complementing the measures within the work with measures that promote safety in public transport, carrying out risk analysis at construction sites and agreeing on the measures between companies, clients and workers are also essential for effective implementation. Both the protocols and the fiscal and financial measures are necessary for the reactivation of the construction sector. It is key to bear in mind that all public policy measures must be adapted and replicated considering the context of each country. Many of these measures are being effective in the short term and may help companies and projects that were underway to survive the crisis. However, governments also need to think about reforms in the housing sector in the medium and long term. Reforms to increase access to quality housing, especially aimed at vulnerable populations. Another thing that has happened during the pandemic and possibly changes when all this is over is that since we started the pandemic, seeing ourselves through a screen. The way we related changed, but the frequency did not. Regarding what comes next, it is believed that in the short term and as long as the restrictions derived from the pandemic continue, the contact guidelines will be maintained through electronic means. Later, the sociologist believes that cultural and historical characteristics will prevail and that we will return to physical contact. Returning to some behaviors such as traveling depends on how the economy is, but social relations will return to the same as before the pandemic. However, she believes that this sense of community arises from the crisis and she believes that trends that have increased during the pandemic, such as more responsible consumption, will not remain with us. Cultural changes are very slow, I don't think behaviors change so much and more when they have arisen from a shock that we want to leave behind. Today, due to the effect of intense commercial life, technology and the need for specialization in certain areas, a certain part of humanity, particularly in developed countries and in some developing countries, has lost some of their habits and positive skills acquired through history. The COVID-19 virus has reminded humanity of its losses and shortcomings. For example, families from different countries who have always preferred to eat out - for the reasons mentioned above - now try to cook for themselves, taking into account hygiene or health concerns by staying at home due to quarantine. Even as countries or individuals, we may feel the need to train our children on how to behave and what to do in extraordinary situations to survive or to meet our daily needs in disaster scenarios. Without a doubt, without a suitable place to live, it is almost impossible to implement any of the protection measures against COVID-19 dictated by governments and public health experts. For people left homeless, COVID-19 poses a serious and immediate threat to their health and life. Although some governments have taken temporary measures to protect the homeless (for example, those who sleep rough), the present and future of these people remain precarious. An organization that works with the homeless, reported that the pandemic had caused notable changes in support services operations: overnight shelters had been closed, key services such as face-to-face assessment for health and disability aids had ceased, and appointments had been interrupted at employment offices for job seekers. One of the main problems faced by those staying in hotels and other emergency settings was access to sufficient food, often because they had no income (having stopped collecting benefit payments because they no longer met certain conditions) or because they received food that had to be cooked and in their accommodation they had no way to cook it. The organization also reported that many homeless people felt that their mental and physical health had deteriorated during confinement. It concludes by mentioning that the world has certainly undergone a great change of which no one would have ever imagined, but our duty is to move on and if we can improve the world in a certain way, both the constructions so that this disease does not get worse, why not do it?. Something that can prevent COVID-19 100% is not promised, but something that can protect us from the individual who stalks us at all times, at every moment, at every hour. The constructions in the future are going to be the best and they are not going to help much, and with the technology we have, we can make the world a better place.
