BOARD OF DIRECTORS Attention: Arthur Siegel & Jeff Goldstein
404 Third Street
John Martin (President)
Everett, MA 02149

Dear Mr. Siegel and Mr. Goldstein:

Ramona Foster (Vice

President) For the past twenty-five years, the overall purpose of the Chelsea Youth Basketball
League (CYBL) has centered around the building blocks of success – guidance, motivation,
empowerment, and positive thinking to assist Chelsea youth 8 to 13 to reach their
Larry Notkin (Treasurer) personal goals. Basketball activities are the vehicle used to achieve these goals. Each
year, CYBL supports this purpose by providing quality recreation and healthy
competition through our basketball program.
Carrie Bosque (Secretary)
CYBL is an all-volunteer, 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that works tremendously hard
to find funding, as well as volunteer coaches, referees and scorekeepers. This year, we
anticipate over 200 youths will register for our basketball program, which runs from
SPONSORS
November through March and is open to boys and girls who are 8-13 years of age.

MassPort It is our long-term goal to be able to expand the age limits to include younger and older
youth, and to ultimately provide a quality youth basketball program to Chelsea boys and
Blue Cross/Blue Shield
girls at no cost. In order to continue to operate for the upcoming season and (eventually)
Kirshon Paint & Wallpaper reach our long-term goals, we are in need of financial support.
Kayem Foods, Inc.
It costs approximately $13,000 per season to operate our basketball program. (The
Eastern Salt Company annual banquet ($4000), uniforms ($4000) and referees ($2300) are where
John's Pizza we incur our most expenses.) We incur our highest expenses from the cost
of uniforms, referees, and the annual awards banquet. We are seeking
Kokopelli Tanning Salon
financial support from organizations to help offset these major costs. In addition to
Rep. Gene O'Flaherty these expenses, we are also in need of the necessary first aid supplies to deal with
Sen. Jarrett Barrios
sports injuries. We respectfully request any items you can donate to ensure we are
stocked with the necessary medical supplies for not only multiple small injuries but
Rep. Kathy Reinstein also with enough gear the supplies necessary should a major injury until the
Sheet Metal Workers 17 ambulance arrives such as non-latex gloves, bandages, scissors, band aids, cold/heat
packs, tweezers, tape, gloves, and eye wash solution.
