Cleveland Clinic Florida had its best performance in the entire state, ranking fourth

among Florida's 259 hospitals and maintaining two nationally ranked specialties: No. 2 in

gastroenterology and gastrointestinal surgery and 42nd in orthopedics. Cleveland Clinic has a

30-year history of providing world-class care in South Florida, improving the health and quality

serve very sick patients who need advanced and complex care, which is reflected in a high

patient acuity rating on par with hospit much larger and nationally rated ales. The demand for

this complex, high-quality care has led them to their current hospital expansion that will add 75

beds and increase their capacity by 50 percent. This will allow Cleveland Clinic to meet the

growing needs of Florida patients and communities.

Report for the fourth year in a row, as one of the highest performing hospital systems in the

country, with Baptist Hospital of Miami ranked the best full-service hospital in the South Florida

The study examined 5,000 hospitals and rated them for safety, reputation, patient volume,

staffing levels, and other factors. Baptist Health South Florida Hospitals, including Baptist

Hospital, Doctors Hospital, Homestead Hospital, and South Miami Hospital, received a

combined total of 24 coveted national high-performance medals, more than any other regional

health system. The new West Kendall Baptist Hospital and Mariners Hospital in Monroe County

were not eligible for classification.
