Save the Children is implementing a three-year (2019-2021) project

entitled “Up-scaling Inclusive Early Childhood Care, Development and
Education” (IECCDE) which is targeting children that are affected by a
disability, have a special learning need or suffer from any other
vulnerability, which deters them from accessing ECCDE  in Western Latest News
Province.  The goal of the project is to contribute to equal access and
development outcomes of children aged 3-6 years in quality and Skills Award
Inclusive Early Childhood Care Development and Education (ECCDE) Paralegal Studies

Save the Children will be undertaking baseline study to assess the How to prepare
(before project intervention) situation in 4 districts of Western Province, for job interviews
namely Shangombo, Mongu, Kalabo and Sioma. The baseline May 7, 2019

Determine the knowledge, attitude and practices among community

members and parents of 3-6 children about inclusive ECCDE;
Determine accessibility to inclusive ECCDE centres for 3-6 aged children
Assess the extent to which ECCDE services are promoting holistic child
development

baseline study

Scope of work for Research Assistants

1. Participate in Research Assistant’s orientation meeting

2. Data collection using Kobo Collect digital application in selected
schools in Shangombo, Sioma, Kalabo and Mongu Districts
3. Data cleaning and translation

Requirements

Diploma in any relevant subject

Experience in collecting data using digital devices such as tablets
and phones
Must be able to work in a fast pace environment and within
deadlines
Must have ability to pay attention to detail
Applicant must be fluent in English and Lozi
Applicants must be based in Mongu District

Duration

This assignment will be for 7 days, from 21st to 27th May 2019
