Jntroduction:
The HT 740 lockup to lockup calibration has been released in a fixed shift configuration. This calibration
eliminates the part throttle shift schedule without altering the trimmer regulator circuit. This is accomplished by
blocking the modulator signal pressure to the shift modulator valves and transferring the modulator signal via a
transfer tube to the trim regulator valve.
NOTE: The engine to transmission control must include a properly calibrated modulator system.

The existing lockup to lockup configuration valve body may be machined to accept the modulator pressure
transfer tube. Complete disassembly of the valve body is necessary before any machining operations are
performed. See attached drawing for machine operation procedure.

Calibration Sheet
When modifications to the valve body are complete, calibrate the vaIve body to the upper range of the 1900/1950
rpm lockup to lockup cahbration schedule. Inspect for leakage.
