A) Hydraulic.

A power winch is to be driven by means of a bi – directional hydraulic motor, the


rotation speed of the motor is to be controllable (adjustable) in both directions of
travel.

A) Using the hand out information provided previously, and your lesson Notes,
design a hydraulic circuit to meet these requirements. Draw & label the
circuit, using ISO symbols. Also provide a brief description of the operation
of your circuit (26)

B) Using research, list suitable manufacturers for each component in your


system, providing pictures & Manufacturer details. (12)

C) During operation, you find the winch operates very slowly, in ONE direction
only. Suggest reason(s) for this problem. (12)
