Week 6 Weekly Summary 2

Ideas, Reading & Discussions that Stood Out

This entire week was very informative and exciting. There were a lot of things that I read

or discussed with my classmates that stood out to me. This has been a very informative course.

Since this course is coming to an end I would like this summary to cover my understanding of

the entire course and this week. All of the marketing tehniques and strategies stood out to me

during this course. From learning about HIPAA Law, Marketing, The Four P’s, Ethics and

Patient Privacy, Everything in this course was an eye opener for me.

Greatest Effect on Me

This entire course of information had some type of impact on me in some way. All of the

information is informative especially since I work in this healthcare industry. It taught me a lot

about marketing and getting a program or hospital out through marketing. Knowing a target

community or area during marketing is imperative when marketing. The SWOT Analysis and 4

P’s had a great effect on me also. Learning about these things made me realize a lot of different

things that I really didn’t know. This all help me be able to create my own marketing plan for the

company that I want to open up on my own.

What Was I Surprised About?

Unfortunately, in this week’s reading, discussions, and learning there wasn’t anything I

was surprised about. I had prior knowledge on all these things discussed so it just enlightened my

knowledge and I learned a little extra. So there wasn’t anything surprising but I did take a lot of

new information from this week. Everything was informative and would be very beneficial to

me. Everything made me realize a little more about the healthcare industry than I knew.

Daily Life Usage

I don’t think I can say this enough but I can use everything I’ve been learning and using

in this course daily when I open up my own healthcare facility. Everything that I have read,

discussed or wrote about throughout the course that I will be able to use in my daily life. All os

this information throught this course is going to be beneficial to me with me opening up my own

healthcare facility. I plan on going back to school for my Ph.D in Health Administration or my

PA. I want to open up my own healthcare facility or home aide program. All of these tools will

be useful in both continuing my education and opening up my own facility. I’ve learned so much

throughout this course that opened up my eyes and made me realize why some facilities aren’t

successful. I’ll use the 4 P’s on a daily when marketing or handling things.
