GUIDE QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION PAPER

Answer these following questions wholeheartedly:

1. What significant learnings (cite at least 5) have you gained after series of discussions and
activities in this area? And how these learnings can help you in your career as a future
nurse?
What signifant learnings I have gained after our discussions and activities, are
being active, collaborative, emphasize time on task, encourage learning, and goal
directed. Being active in our dicussions and activities. Be able to collaborate new ideas
and learning about certain topics. Emphasizes time on task because we only have limited
time to finish our requirements. Encouraging myself learning especially on my own,
because there are times that nobody can help me but myself. And lastly, goal directed
because I need to priotizing my goals by studying to achieve the goal of becoming a
registered nurse in the near future.

2. On encountering the Virtual RLE Class for this specific area, answer the following:

a. What specific part did you find most interesting? And why?
For me, studying and learning new things especially my case study, Nephrotic Sydrome.
At first, I have no idea, even a thing, about what this disease is all about. It is my first time to
encounter a disease like this and it is for children, though sometimes it also occurs in alduts with
underlying disease like acute kidney failure. Since it’s my first time to deal with it, I mostly used
google to find my answers. It is interesting because I learned and earned new knowledge and
informations that I will bring up to upcoming years of being a nursing student.

b. What specific part did you find most difficult/ challenging? And why?
The most difficult but challenging part about this Virtual RLE Class was to
research about my assigned case study. I found out that the disease that I was aked to
study was not that easy to find. I had a hard time researching about the details. Also,
memorizing and familiarizing medications and what are the drug classifications of the
drug. I just thought that I am challenging myself to study more.

3. What values or discipline did you gain specific on this area?

Even though i did not have my own client, I have learned to be patient. Patient in
doing every requirements that I need to submit on due time. I knew when the time comes
and I have duty to PEDIA Ward, I have to be patient when dealing or interviewing my
client. As a student nurse, that needs to learn a lot of new things, I gained and learned
how to handle my time proper. Time management is needed in the Nursing field.
4. Write your comment, suggestions or recommendations on these following:

a. Virtual RLE class specific for this area

Virtual Class is the new study set-up in the new normal class. I found it diffucult
because I am not comfortable about it. But I know as the time will go by, I will be
comfortable.

b. Instructor
My 2nd year of College has been so difficult. It was an learning curve and your
support has made it possible. Sir, I don’t think you realize it, but you were such a huge
influence on me this year. You’ve made me so excited and passionate about the rest of
my degree. Again, Thank you sir for the motivation!

c. Group mates

Thank you groupmates to listening my report. And I think they cooperate too
specially when it comes the activities and the reports.
