VILLA DE LEYVA

A large blue sky covers the high mountain valley that forms the backdrop of the

impressive Villa de Leyva. Its main square is one of the largest and most beautiful in America.

This relaxed village and its picturesque center offer international gastronomic pleasures, a rich

history, ancient churches, interesting museums and craft shops. The surrounding rural area

also offers a wide range of simple outdoor activities.

 WHERE IS IT LOCATED?

It is a Colombian municipality located in the province of Ricaurte of the department of

Boyacá, is located 40 km west of Tunja, capital of the department. Between the Serranías de

Iguaque and Merchán, 2,045 meters above sea level. Declared a National Monument by

decree No. 3641 of December 17, 1954 during the Government of General Gustavo Rojas

Pinilla. It currently has a population of 9,294 inhabitants.

CRAVO SUR

The Cravo Sur River originates in


the municipality of Mongua
Boyacá, in the Páramo de Pisba, in
Colombia, a South American
country. It has 138 km in length that
cover the following municipalities:
Mongua and Labranza Grande, in
the department of Boyacá and
Yopal, San Luis de Palenque and
Orocué, in the department of
Casanare and flows into the Meta
River.

I was in the Rio Cravo Sur, located in the municipality of Orocué, in this photo I

was accompanied by my husband's family who were on a walk, from Yaguará Huila and

my sisters, together with my husband and son, it took approximately 4 hours bathing in

the river, where the temperature was between 26 and 29 ° C, clear sky, although few days

were here, took full advantage of the time to enjoy the rich waters of the Cravo Sur river.
