•The MBA (Law) program is the country's first of its kind program which was started in the
year 2016 and is a unique blend which bridges the gap between law and management.
•Under the guidance of our Chairperson Dr Paritosh Basu and the contribution of our
esteemed and brilliant faculty this course has given multi-skilled professionals, who are able to
establish relevance to the field of business and management while having a stronghold on the
field of law
•The course has a course outline specially designed for lawyers aspiring to launch themselves in
the business and management world.

An initiative by MBA (Law) batch of 2020-21, committed to working towards promotion and awareness of
MBA(Law) as an emerging field. This is a functional cell of School of Business Management, NMIMS,
Mumbai, encouraging the course by portraying talent of its students.

1st ONLINE ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION

[Organized by its Literary & Debating Society]
This competition is open to all the undergraduate and post-graduate students of Management and
Law Colleges across India.

Theme: Paradigm shift in legal management amidst Covid-19.

Topics:
1. Labour laws in our motherland are changing.
2. The radical dependency of technology in the legal environment.
3. Communicating through COVID19 and beyond.
 4. Leaders in their dealings with crisis management.
5. Business Continuity plan and its emerging importance.
6. Evolving Startup India, MSMEs, Make in India in the post-Covid-19 era.

Date of Event: The submission will begin from 10th October 2020 till 20th October 2020.

Date of Submission: Interested candidate shall submit their essay latest by 20th October 2020 (11:59 P.M)

Declaration of Result: 27th October 2020

Mode of Event: The competition will be conducted via online mode.

Guidelines for Essay Competition:

● Language: English
Participants can give their own title in the denotation of the topic and theme given.

● Word limit: 1500-2000 words.

● Font: Times New Roman
● Body of the essay: 12
● Footnote: 10 with SILC (Standard Indian Legal Citation) or Bluebook 20th Edition Citation.
● Line spacing: 1.5
● The file will be submitted in PDF form.
● Maximum 15% of plagiarism shall be permitted.

Prizes:

All the participants will be given e-Certificate of Participation. The Prize of Rs. 2000/- will be given to
the winner and 1st & 2nd runner ups will be given in total:
