A. Pipe insulation

Cross-linked closed cell polyolefin foam with permanent bonded Alupet foil. Generally used for
thermal insulation of chilled water, AC and condensate piping.

Thermal Conductivity: 0.034 W/m∙K at 23º C, as per ASTM C518 standard


Density (foam core only): 25 kg/m³
Water Vapour Permeability: 0.00 permeability as per ASTM E96 standard
Water Absorption: 0.3% by volume as per BS EN 12087:1997 Method 2A
Fire resistance: Class O as per BS 476 Part 7 (Surface Spread of Flame) and Part 6
(Fire Propagation)
Smoke Density and Toxicity: Ds ≤ 200, in accordance with ISO 5659-2 IMO Resolution MSC
61(67), 1996; Annex 1, Part 2
R=0.77 as per BS 6853
Working temperature: from -80º C to 105º C (as per DIN EN 14706)
Deflection compression set: > 35% for 25 mm as per ASTM D3575

VOC level: < 4 µg / m / hr (as per ASTM D5116)
Chemical analysis: Cl < 25 mg/kg as per ASTM C871
Resistance to corrosion: Excellent as per ASTM B117
Antifungal: Yes as per ASTM G21

Environmental concerns: ODP = 0; GWP < 5 (proved by test report issued by accredited lab)

Our Insulation material is UL listed, CE marked and CFC & HCFC free (proved by test report issued
by accredited lab).

Chilled water systems:

For indoor applications (ambient temperature: 24 °C; line temperature: 4.5 – 5.5 °C; relative
humidity: 50%; pipe diameters: up to 6”) we recommend a minimum thickness of 12 mm.
For outdoor applications (ambient temperature: 46 °C; line temperature: 4.5 – 5.5 °C; relative
humidity: 65%) we recommend a minimum thickness of 20 mm (pipe diameters up to 2 1/2”) and 25
mm (pipe diameters up to 6”).

B. Ductwork insulation

Cross-linked closed cell polyolefin foam with self-adhesive coating, permanent bonded with reinforced
Alupet foil. Generally used for thermal insulation of air ducts.

Thermal Conductivity: 0.034 W/m∙K at 23º C, as per ASTM C518 standard


Density (foam core only): 25 kg/m³
Water Vapour Permeability: 0.00 permeability as per ASTM E96 standard
Water Absorption: 0.3% by volume as per BS EN 12087:1997 Method 2A
Fire resistance: Class O as per BS 476 Part 7 (Surface Spread of Flame) and Part 6
(Fire Propagation)

65%) we recommend a minimum thickness of 25 mm.
