Architecture and Industrialism

The industrial revolution shocked the world out of its shoes. How? Industrialism or
the Industrial Revolution was a major achievement in human existence as it
brought on bout a fresh perception to how the world operates. It started in the 18 to
19 century due to the tremendous growth of agriculture. This brought about a
tremendous growth in population with foster trade... More trade meant more labor
was needed n the urban environment with brought about the development of the
Steam engine. This invention changed the game as I emphasized less labor but
more out. These engines used coal to create a continuous chain of production that
was not possible with humans. Steel heat the market.

Steel was a very important material that comes up due to the industrial revolution.
It was a cheaper and a stronger replacement to the commonly used wood. This
opens up a door in the architectural industry. The laws that governed construction
were flipped as the man had gained one whole step in the strength realm.
Architecture as a whole was flipped.

By the second half of the 19 century, large buildings started to pop up. Thanks to
the mass production of steel, their construction a breeze. Architects used a
technique called column frame where a network of steel bars was integrated to
create a skeleton onto which our building materials were embedded. This
technique allowed vertical exploration and due to the population growth also the
demand for more space had increased.

In summary architecture in the first industrial revolution was characterized by a

growth in building size. IN the second, architecture started to grow more wings.
Here people had started getting bored of the norm that has been brought about by
the architecture in the forest revolution. The reign of deconstructivism started in
this era. In conclusion, we are still in the second revolution but the "end game" as
said by the industrial revolution was characterized by
