IP Protection rate

Polytron IP Protection rate

This is to confirm that Polytron series (Polytron 8100/8200/8310/8700/8720) comply

with IP 65/66/67 as per standard and regulation,

The information at the transmitter body is part of the Ex dust approval which requires
an IP6X rating.

The” 6” stands for dust tight and this was tested by the notified body and mentioned
within the Ex dust approval while test performed

EX dust approval never tested the protection against water ingress and indicated by “X
“in this place to indicate that the water ingress protection was not tested at that time.

The IP-rating information not required to be displayed on the product label by

any standard or regulation. All IP-rating information is stated on the certificate.

As per ATEX Approvals, IP 54 (dust protected and protection against splashing of

water) is required.

Including ATEX and EX products comply with IP64 and the product tested and passed
IP65 (protection against water jets) and IP X6(protection against powerful water jets; IP
X7: protection against immersion up to 1 m depth) for which the product is certified.
