Narco analysis test

Introduction : the soils that has put the man on moon and Mars is also trying to help the mankind in
stemming the increased tide of crime rate. In order to achieve the primary objective of forensic science
in criminal investigations which is identification of the criminal with certainty so that it can help the
courts in administering justice has developed various techniques like polygraph test brain mapping and
narco analysis and many more.

Narco analysis : the term narco analysis is used to describe a Diagnostic technique that uses some drugs.

Dhinak analyses dost is based on the principle that a person is able to light using is imagination and
under the influence of certain Barbiturates this capacity for imagination is blocked or neutralized by
leading the person into a semi conscious state. This test involves the administration of a drug such as
sodium amytal that causes the subject to enter into various stages of anaesthesia. He or she made
diverge all his or her fantasies and personal wishes and impulses and illusions and conflicts. Narco
analysis test is a Restoration of memory which the suspect had forgotten. This test result maybe
doubtful if the test is used for the purpose of confession of crimes. Suspects of crimes me under the
influence of drugs deliberately with hold information or may give an account of incident precisely.

Drawback : the main drawback of this technique is that some persons are able to retain their ability to
deceive even in the hypnotic state where while others can become extremely suggestible to
questioning. The drugs used do not guarantee that the subject will speak only the truth. The statements
made in the hypnotic state are not voluntary and I also not in a clear state of mind hence these have not
been admitted as evidence in the court of law.

Narco analyses without consent raises certain issues such as

 Physical assault on the body by giving injections and also multiple painful stimuli such as
slapping or pinching pushing shaking the body to wake a person from hypnotic state to answer
the questions.
 Metal assault through the effect of injection on his mind and also and unrestricted access to the
utmost privacy and the privacy of his mind.

Though this technique is not known since the Second World War it has been spotted with
adequate search to justify its claim.
