“Effect of Family feud “Rido” on Socio-economic aspect among the residents of
Lumbatan Lanao del sur”. An undergraduate Thesis, Bachelor of Science in
Criminology, Department of Criminology, Lanao Central College Inc., Marawi City,
2021.

This was focused on effect of Family feud “Rido” on Socio-economic aspects

among the residents of Lumbatan Lanao del sur. Since the study adopted the descriptive
research design, it employed a structure questionnaire in gathering the primary data from
the total sample randomly chosen 50 respondents of Lumbatan Lanao del sur.
Standard Deviation, Weighted Mean and Ranking were the statistical tools
applied in analyzing the data. It was revealed that the respondents were very responsive
and had different views to the effect of Family feud “Rido” in the community. The
effects of Family feud “rido” culture to their socio-economics aspirations were mostly
negative. As to the perception of the respondents, majority responded on the hindrance
of Livelihood, Employment and Education, was highly affected, and cannot cooperate to
the community activities. However, in terms of the perception of the residence
respondents, majority regarded that it greatly affected them as to their economic
performances, disturbed them in gathering and organizing their works. With the above
revelations, it can be concluded that the Family feud “Rido” culture really can ruin one’s
life.
It was, therefore, recommended that Municipal Local Government Unit (MLGU),
Municipal Police Station (MPS), Sultanate group and Religious group should
continuously orient the residents of Lumbatan Lanao del sur about the effects and
disadvantage of Family feud “Rido” so that they could improve their performance better
in relation to public which they are supposed to serve at all times. Future studies similar
to this study should be conducted in the future.
