- YES. THEY ARE HAPPY WHILE SINGING THE SONGS ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY
PERFORM THE ACTIONS OF THE SONGS BUT THE PROBLEM IS THE LANGUAGE

Why did you shift to MTB-MLE? BECAUSE I WANT TO LEARN MORE ON MOTHER
TONGUE LANGUAGE ESPECIALLY THE WORDS THAT ARE UNFAMILIAR TO ME.
11. What are the things that are favorable or not in MTB-MLE. Please enumerate.
-NATIVE ANGUAGE, LOCAL LANGUAGE , TRANSLATION OF THE LAGUAGE.

From the conducted interview, what are the important insights you have gained?

- I’ve learned the importance of teaching mother tongue as a language for


teaching and as a subject because it focus on the development of
listening, speaking, reading and writing but this subject is for K to 3
only.

As future teachers, why do you need to learn and use the mother tongue in the lower
primary grades in school?

- We need to used mother tongue in the lower primary grades because


this will serve as bridge in teaching Filipino and English subjects and
we need to embrace it because it is importance for the primary learners.

Why did the Department of education require schools to use mother tongue as a
subject and as a language for teaching and learning from Kindergarten up to Grade 3?

- Accordingly, DepEd mandates MTB- MLE as medium of instructions


because learners must begin their education in the language they
understand best which is mother tongue and need to develop a strong
foundation in their mother tongue language before effectively learning
additional languages.
