The Company:
CHERISH is a Non-Government Organization started in the year 2006 that works
with orphans and other vulnerable children. They Provide them education lodging
and boarding facilities and strive to mainstream these children into society.

The volunteer help from the employees of :

The customers:
CHERISH CHILDREN HOMES
1. CHERISH Home for Girls.
2. CHERISH Home for Boys.
Street Children need to be given a stable environment that helps them build trust
and Confidence.

The Competition:
At present there are some Non Government Organizations in India including
CHERISH. CHERISH is holding the best place in Non Government Organizations.
CHERISH a Non Government Organization of India being the oldest NGO of
India could be a competitor, and also other Organizations in India.
THE BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT:
Over the past 13years CHERISH has mainstreamed about 100 children.
CHERISH has been sending about 40 ( aged between 7 to 18 years) children to
private and government schools for their education development.
This has been achieved through by raising funds mostly from individual donors
and likeminded organizations.
CHERISH has two separate homes for girls and for boys.
The Technology:
CHERISH has started collecting funds and hiring volunteers through online.
CHERISH Volunteer are intern students those students working on funds raising in
helping for the CHERISH, through posters and all to support for CHERISH.

SWOT Analysis:
Strengths
1. Organization's mission and vision, human resources and in house skills strong
relationships with government, partners and stakeholders.
2. Past and on going actives and applications of best practices/ lessons learn.
3. Experience at national and grassroots level work.
4. Good coordination and monitoring/evaluation mechanisms stable resources of
finance.

Weakness:
1. Funding Problems
2. Under staffing and weak human resource policies.
3. Weak organizational mandate.
4. Gaps in coordination and lack in system operations in the organization.
5. Weak management
Opportunities:
1. Political will and encouragement supportive external and relevant thematic
policies/laws
2. Support from donor agencies and other sector organizations.
3. Good community response.
4. Favorable distributions of resources support from media and advocacy
organizations.
Threats:
1. Government restrictions and lack of political will.
2. Security problems.
3. Lack of access to target groups and locations.
4. Sustainability problems due to lack of funding’s.
5. Anti-NGO approaches by media and advocacy organizations.

SIP Proposal:
In Internship we have been given the individual tasks to complete i.e. that the
individual has to raise the funds for Birthdays or Marriages or Ceremonies or
National Festivals, etc. In these categories that individual has to raise funds in
which he/she wants to raise funds in supporting for CHERISH.
By end of this week, I haven't raised any funds but I tried from my side to
complete the task of this week. Though I haven't raised funds, I have learned a lot
from this task. This task is not easy task though I have tried my best to complete
the task by this week. But I didn't complete my task which was given by the
CHERISH.
This task helped me in learning to know people with same goals as us. It will help
you to make a positive contribution in the growth and development of the society.
You can work for the cause you are most passionate about. I learnt to accept
differing opinions. I saw a lot of creativity around me and infact realized how
creative I can be at times. Many couldn't find the right platform or say trusted
platform than NGO (Helping Others).
In second week of Internship, we have been given the tasks to complete i.e., that
the group of people has to raise the funds for Uniforms, Electric works and for
Plumbing works. In these categories that group has to raise funds in which he/she
wants to raise funds in supporting for CHERISH.
This week I have tried my best to raise funds to complete the task. For that I made
a poster to raise the funds and for supporting and help for the CHERISH and then I
passed on the poster to few of my friends. Within few minutes I got few responses
from my near and dear to collect funds but due to some reasons they delayed to
give fund.
