Being too busy makes you feel important but also make you stressed. There are
also many distractions in our professions that sometimes you lose track of activities and
fail to manage. How do you solve the issue of organizing your time? What are your
strategies?
Honestly, the case herein fits my real situation. I have two jobs, I spent my whole week
extremely, devoting my first six days to my jobs, attending my masteral class on sundays and
the rest will be for my family. Having this kind of routine is stressful and tiring but because I
performed my job with utmost sincerity, I still met the deadlines and expectations of my
employers. However, most of the time I need to work overtime to reach the given target
schedules.
In order to organize my time, I see to it that before the week starts, I already have my
what to do list for at least 3days to track the activities that I need to do and need to remember.
With those lists of activities, I prioritize base on the importance and deadlines. I break big
projects into smaller and more manageable task. If the task is big enough to manage, I
recommend outsourcing to transfer the risk or additional resources and manpower for
assistance. It is better to lower your pride and seek assistance rather than take the risk and fail.
Lastly, in our workplace being the section head, I practice 5S means Sort, Set in-order, Shine,
Standardize and Sustain. 5S philosophy is “a place for everything and everything in its place,”
and helps to eliminate wasted space, wasted inventory and wasted time.
