Steps to Schedule Synchronization Process

Use the Oracle Enterprise Scheduler (ESS) Scheduled Processes tool to schedule at will or repeating
synchronizations of user identity, role, and role assignment data from Oracle Fusion Applications Cloud
Service services to Oracle Identity Cloud Service.

Note: in case Users should not receive notification emails once their identities provisioned in the target
system (ex. IDCS), it is necessary to change the settings (ex. in IDCS, untick the checkbox ‘Welcome
Federated SSO User’ in the menu Settings > Notifications)

To set up the scheduled jobs in Fusion Application, proceed as follows:

 Sign in Fusion and navigate to Tools


> Scheduled processes’

 In the ‘Scheduled processes’ page,


in the Search results section click
on ‘Schedule New Process’
 In the popup window, search for
‘User identity
synchronization from
this SaaS instance to
the PaaS Identity Store’
 Click ‘OK’

 Optionally, click on ‘Process


options’ to control the format of
the displayed or reported job
details
Optionally, click Advanced.
 Notification tab allows
setting up notifications to be
sent to specified recipients
triggered by success,
warning, and error results of
the user synchronization job.
 Schedule tab, the sync job
can be triggered
immediately (option ‘As
soon as possible’) or
scheduled if option ‘Using a
schedule’ is selected. This
allows creating a repeating
scheduled sync process.

 Once the settings are done, click on
