BEST 9: First Aid

First Aid Kit Project

Students need to be prepared to use their knowledge and skills in a first aid setting. In order to
be prepared, they need to have the necessary tools and supplies to help a person in need. This
project will help get the household prepared for an emergency.

Students will need to complete the following:

Due Date: Monday, December 8th_________________

 Update an existing first aid kit in the home. This would entail inventorying the contents and noting
the missing, or expired objects. Students/parents will then purchase* needed items and place them
in a safe, well-marked container. An inventory list^ should be developed and kept with the kit.

OR

 Purchase* a complete first aid kit (with all required items) for the home. Add to/augment as needed.
Develop an inventory list^ to keep with the kit.

*Families that may need financial assistance to complete this project should contact Mr. Chulada
for assistance which may include arrangements to help provide the necessary items, or an
alternative project. Any request should be directly from the parent at least 1 week before due
date..

All first aid items should be packed into a single, durable container (weatherproof/weather-resistant) so that it
could easily be transported to where it is needed.

^Directions for the typed Inventory checklist will be given later….

Parents, I hate for students to “spring” this on you at the last minute, so your signature here will count as a
homework assignment
