ANNOTATIONS

IINDICATOR 1: Applies knowledge of content within and across curriculum

teaching area.

During the establishing of the purpose of the lesson students are asked to watch a
video on Boyle’s Law. The integration of English is done when students are asked to
identify the meaning of constant and inversely proportional for the vocabulary.
The integration of math is on the Game Show me, in this game formula transformation
is to be achieve by arranging the symbols to derive a formula. Another math integration
is the arranging the steps in in problem solving.
During the lesson, how to solve the problem using any of the two derived formulas is to
be understood by the students.

INDICATOR 2: Uses a range of teaching strategies that enhance learner

achievement in literacy and numeracy skills.

Literacy skill is on the establishing of the purpose of the lesson students are asked to
watch a video on Boyle’s Law. The integration of English is done when students are
asked to identify the meaning of constant and inversely proportional for the vocabulary.
Constant is a noun which means a situation or state of affairs that does not change , while
inversely proportional is an adjective which means related so that as one becomes larger
the other becomes smaller.

Numeracy skill is found on the activity is on the Game Show me, in this game formula
transformation is to be achieve by arranging the symbols to derive a formula. Another
math integration is the arranging the steps in in problem solving. The formula is V 2=
V1P1/P2 and P2=V1P1/P2. The steps in problem solving are 1. Read the problem carefully
2. Make sketch on illustration. 3. Write down all the given data 4. Know what is to be
found or unknown 5. Solve using equation or formula and 6. Review your work.

Both skills are developed as they answer or express their idea on each question related
to either literacy and numeracy skill

INDICATOR 3: Applies a range of teaching strategies to develop critical and

creative thinking as well as other higher- order thinking skills.

Guide questions like What happens to the pressure and volume of the balloon when the
air is release? What happens to the pressure and volume of the marshmallow when the
air is release? What happens to the pressure and volume of the shaving cream when
the air is release? In this question critical thinking is needed as well as the listening
skills.

Another would be the derivation of formula and interpretation of graph. It tests their
interpretation skills as well as their thinking skills
INDICATOR 4: Manages classroom structure to change learners, individuality or
in groups, in meaningful, exploration, discovery and hands- on activities with in
range of physical and learning environments.

The teacher prepared group activities, hand-on learning with the use of different
materials like a game called show me, activity sheets and video presentation and oral
recitation to convey science facts in an easy and organized way. While groupings are
done to let the student interact and collaborate with each other.

INDICATOR 5: Manages learner behavior construction by applying positive and

non- violent discipline to ensure learning- focused environments.

The different house rules will be presented before the lesson starts. As per groupings,
and proper place instructions are given beforehand. Questions with regards to the
activities given are address if there is any. Conducive learning environment is seen in
the classroom setting.

INDICATOR 6: Uses differentiated, developmentally appropriate learning

experiences to address learner’s gender, needs, strengths, interests and
experiences.

The learners are grouped and asked to do the activity “Show me” (for the bodily-
kinesthetic). Video watching with the given guides questions (for visual). Collaborative
work for the groupings, pair work and brainstorming (for interpersonal). Another activity
for groupings tests the critical thinking skills (for cognitive).

The teacher uses differentiated instructions seen in activity one and two, visual
representation using video in activity 1, activity 2 showcase talent in communication
skills in the presentation of the activity or output and in activity 3 is hand-on activity were
in the students are asked to answer the problem solving, kinesthetics and logical
thinking were used.

INDICATOR 7: Plans, manages and implements developmentally sequences

teaching and learning process to meet curriculum requirements and varied
teaching context.

The plan was prepared in such a way that learning will be connected in every
part/phase of the lesson. The motivation is done on watching the video and
brainstorming the answer to the guide questions. Prepared activates collaboration and
brainstorming as well as presentation of the lesson. Activities were in such a way that
they will have advance ideas about the topic/lesson, followed by the actual lesson/
discussion. Added activities were provided to enhance mastery such as asking question
with regards to the lesson.
Abstraction was done to show how much they remember and reflect on the topic, that
connotes they are ready for the evaluation. Questions like “State the relationship
between volume and pressure at constant temperature. Based on the general equation
for Boyle’s Law, what will be the derived formula if P 2 is unknown? How about if V2 is
unknown?” is established.

INDICATOR 8: Selects, develop, organizes and uses appropriate teaching and

learning resources, including ICT, to address learning goals.

The teaching and learning resources are the following physics Science and Technology
IV, Science Learner’s Material, Laboratory Activities in Science IV Physics and
utilization of technology (internet via google.com, and youtube.com) and materials used
were also a combination of technology (PowerPoint presentation, video presentation, tv
monitor, laptop, manila paper, bond paper marker, and illustration board)

INDICATOR 9: Designs, selects organizes and uses diagnostic, formative and

summative assessment strategies consistent with curriculum requirements.

Aside from the quiz which will gauge the learners pick up of the lesson, the teacher
engaged the learners in assessing the work of other groups which teach the value of
appreciation of others ad also empowers them. Another would be the connections of
Boyle’s Law in daily Living that assesses the critical thinking skills.
