Blessings from Almighty God for bringing us here today, To our Proud parents, Faculty members, to all
the visitors, ladies, and gentlemen. Good morning to you all.
The existence of the Pandemic is a great challenge for us today. We have temporarily stopped from what
we used to do on normal days, but your education has not been shaken because of the perseverance of you and
your parents.
I know you are challenged in the present setup of today's education system; it was not the usual face to
face setup. There is more extra time in ML, DOTA, tiktok, watching Netflix while your teacher is busy
discussing the subject matter and you are hidden in your online class. But I also knew that you have not
neglected your studies.
I remember when I was a student in high school, it was simple. My “Tatay Tori” is very hardworking,
and he really wanted all of us to finish our studies. He turned his night into day. It was really an obstacle and
sacrifices were made. We were obliged to work whenever there is no classes so we can realize how hard life is
if we will not finish our studies. It is hard to work as a farmer. There is a lot of work but there is hardly any pay.
I promised myself, I will finish my studies even though my parents are not able to support my financial needs.
This is my life’s ultimate challenge when I went to college. My father’s feet were numb, and he was
unable to walk. I questioned how my life would be? Will I stop to support our family’s financial need? My
dreams were shattered. A lot of questions popped on my mind. Will I be able to continue my studies? My
mother became my father’s feet. It was really a difficult time; I experience being ill because I do not have
enough food. We don’t have money, so I need to walk to school. I tried to be an officer even if my shoes are
smiling because of oldness.
Life goes on and now here I am now a professional with a great job. One of the most unforgettable
moments of my career is when I passed the Board exam for CE licensure exam way back in 2006. From that
moment, dreams really d come true. As I hit my target at that age even if it is a long journey and bloody
process.
I hope the experiences I have shared today will serve as an inspiration. Everything does not end today.
Today is just the beginning of the challenge in your life. You just need perseverance, endurance, and
determination to achieve your dreams.
Right now, in this situation, I admire you because you have continued your studies, even if it is not 100
% normal. But that is far better than doing nothing. Education continues despite of Pandemic.
I believe this is not the graduation that many of you envisioned upon entering Sampaloc National
Highschool years ago. The struggle you are in today is developing the strength you need for tomorrow. Being
challenged in life is inevitable, but you have the choice to decide how you will react to these situations.
Especially now, in this time of Covid 19 crisis and uncertainty, always look at the silver lining and try to find
the sunny side of life.
I believe in the saying:
“Beyond the Hills of Sacrifice
 Lies the Valley of Success”
Once again
To the class of 2021: Congratulations and make your parents proud and all the best for the future!

Thank you.
