Personal Narrative
By: Halina- Pham Uyen Phuong
Unele Ho, he is a hero because he had spent his whole life dedicated to the
country. In Uncle Ho, there is the crystallization of all the most quintessential
things. With empty hands, he had gone to find the way to save the country for
thirty years in foreign countries where he had no relatives or friends to help, he
had done all the hard work and studied by himself, found the right path for a
whole nation, leading the whole nation, taking our country to an independent
shore.
Not only that he did not mind the dangers of difficulties, how to manage
the way ahead, how Uncle Ho was still not giving up, and with our people to
successfully fight against the Americans against the French. The main person is
the hero, the light of Vietnamese people during the dark and dark days in the
life of every human being on this land. Uncle Ho once said, in life, everyone is
an ordinary person, no one is divine, and no one is completely. Having lived in
life, everyone has defects. He repeated to have two major drawbacks: smoking
and not marrying. But he knew that everyone was worried about his health, in
the last years of his life, Uncle Ho decided to quit smoking completely. He kept
his promise and with the energy to quit smoking, overcame a bad habit that set
an ethical example for us to follow from small things, very ordinary life. About
Uncle Ho not getting married, I think it is not a defect because he had devoted
his whole life to serving the country and people of Vietnam so Uncle Ho did not
have time to care about himself. And that’s what I think Uncle Ho deserves to be
ahero.Tam sure that if there wasn’t Uncle Ho, there isn’t Socialist Republic of
Vietnam now, there isn’t laughter, honking hom of vehicles on this land but
instead cried the honking of guns or the sound of bombs exploding or there isn’t
me now of course this essay will also not be written. I am also sure that in the
world there will be no second person to dare to do what Uncle Ho did. Of
course I did not say I could do it because he was a man with an extremely heart,
kind, a man who always puts his country first, Uncle Ho is a person who is not
afraid to do anything even if he has to jump into a fire pit to bring peace,
freedom and happiness to his country. If we call Uncle Ho is a hero, it's true but
to Vietnamese, we consider him more than a hero. To us he is like a father, a
teacher, a leader and an indispensable person . If] want to praise Uncle Ho,
there are certainly many things but to be true to what Uncle wants I would like
to borrow the following quote from an author to close his essay: "President Ho
Chi Minh is not a saint. Uncle Ho is a man who merges among the people, lives.
and dies with the people. In Uncle Ho's time, he did not want anyone, both
contemporary and posterity, to worship him as a worshiper of the gods.
‘Throughout his life, he had only one desire, the ultimate desire to gain
independence for the country, to bring freedom and happiness to the people ".
