ACTIVITY REMARKS
A) ON BLOCK OUT CONDITIONS:
* Close the extraction movs for HPH- 5,4, DEA,,LPH- 2,1 &
ensure the all extraction NRVS are closed.
* Isolate main ejector & add on ejector (both steam side & air
side) and If required take starting ejector under instruction of
control room.
Close the oil line for governing v/v and both throttle v/v&
ensure that those valves are closed.
Close the bypass isolation v/v for HPH-4 normal drain to dea
control v/v
Ensure that all ACC fans, CCCW fans& CT fans are stopped
Ensure that the atm. Drains are opened. (Main steam, upper
throttle, hp bypass)
Lineup the hp bypass system (close the atm drain v/v &
ensure that mov, pcv&tcv are opened)
ACTIVITY REMARKS
Charge the lub oil cooler if it is required & Charge GEN cooler
Open oil line for both T.V& GOV v/v& ensure that AOP is
running & pressure is ok
Reset the turbine in local & ensure that trip oil pressure, gov
oil pr& throttle v/v oil pr are ok
Close the BFP manual r/c v/v & Close the CEP r/c bypass v/v
Stop CT fans
Close the HPH-4 normal drain to dea control v/v bypass v/v
ACTIVITY REMARKS
While turbine rolling, ensure the turning gear is disengaged
automatically and stop turning gear motor& close the oil line
6. If D.C Lub oil pump does not come on auto, then start
manually from DCS or old control Desk MCD 001 or start it from
local (Near MOT-Top)
7. If DC-Lub oil pump is not getting started from locally also, then
start turning gear oil pump after DG set is available
9. Ensure that the oil valve for both TVs and G.V are closed
12. If HP-by pass valve is in service, get the valve closed from
DCS
ACTIVITY
13. Ensure that all atm drains are opened & close the main steam line
mov, upper throttle line mov (incase in opened conditions) and open
lower throttle drain mov,1st stage wheel case drain mov& HP cylinder
drain mov
14. Ensure that the main ejector & add on ejector are isolated and
charge starting ejector.
15. If the lub oil had been restored to bearings, then open the
vacuum breaker valve when Turbine speed is less than 400 rpm
and then isolate gland steam supply at a vacuum of 100mm of Hg.
16. Ensure that Lined up CCCWP/P, COMPRESSOR, CEP, DEP,
BFP
17. Await further instructions from SCE / U.C
When power supply is restored
Ensure that no PTWs which could hamper start up are pending
Start the CCCW p/p through DCS& venting out the system&
check cooling water pressure is ok. ensure that the air heat
exchanger& plate heat exchanger are charged.
ACTIVITY
Ensure that turning gear engaging lever is free to disengage on
turbine speeding
Switch off the turbine turning gear motor and isolate oil line
after ensuring that turning gear engaging lever is disengaged.
Stop AOP if MOP disch. Pr. is normal. Put all oil p/ps on Auto
ACTIVITY
Check that the extraction line drains are not choked and flow is
there (Lines would be hot)
Ensure that all the extraction line drains to hotpot are open
Line up HP bypass
Charge HP bypass
Switch off the turning gear motor and isolate the oil line after
ensuring that the turning gear engaging lever has disengaged
Stop AOP if MOP disch. pr is normal. Put all oil p/ps on auto.
Carry out oil injection test for turbine overspeed at 3000 rpm
and note down the pressure at which it acts.(Oil injection test
may only be carried out if the last test was done more than 15
days earlier).
Check that the extraction line drains are not choked and flow
is there (lines would be hot)
Check whether LP heaters are lined up: Drip isolation valves
( V-115,116,118,119,121,122 ) are open, Shell vents to
hotpot ( V-187,188,189,190) are open, extraction line drain
valves are open.
Normalise SH spray
Check whether HP heaters are lined up: Drip line isolation
v/vs(V-101,103,105,106,108,110,112,113) open, Shell
vents(V-183,184,185,186,131,132) open, extraction line drain
v/vs open.
At full load check whether all TSI readings are within limits
8. Check that Diesel level, water level, oil / water temp, oil pr.,
Voltage, current, speed is all normal for the running DG set
9. Confirm Generator breaker & Field breakers are opened,
otherwise trip it manually. Open 110 KV GENERATOR Bay
Isolators
8. Check that Diesel level, water level, oil / water temp, oil pr.,
Voltage, current, speed is all normal for the running DG set
10. Ensure that the station transformer, line 1&2 breakers &
isolators are opened.
13
11.Confirm that the Breakers of following drives have tripped
1.Ensure that the 110 KV Breaker & isolators of line-1, 2 & Bus
coupler are closed. (Relay should be resetted before closing)
Note: ensure that the380V auto c/o switch kept in off mode
