The values in the above table shall satisfy the following :

 In case of threshold values, the next higher NB size shall be selected.


 Liquid lines shall not be sized less than 2” NB even if falling within the
values in the above table range.
 The line size shall be increased to keep pressure drop to a minimum
 For all other process piping, it shall be established by calculation that the
selected velocities are considerably lesser than the erosional velocity
