Prayer for the Year 2020

Dear God, we come to You to say that our hearts are filled with adoration. We come t
o You and bow down, maker of heaven and earth, who made me, and who created everythin
g around us. We bow down to Your son, Jesus, who suffered, died on the cross and saved u
s. We bow down to the Spirit, who guides us. In love and adoration, we give our lips, we give
our hearts, we give our minds, we give our strengths, we bow down and adore You. You are
the first and last, the beginning and end, and that there is no other God before me. You alon
e are the only God that we praise and believe in. We look up to You, our God.

Eternal God, forgive us for all the ways in which we fail to be like Your Son, Jesus Ch
rist, in choosing to do wrong instead of doing right. We have sinned against You, who should
love above all things. We are asking for Your forgiveness, as we have hurt one of the people
You has created, and for the damage that we have done to Your beautiful creation. Forgive
us our sins with all our hearts and save us from the fires of hell. We are sorry for what we ha
ve done, cleanse us from all our sins and offenses, cleanse the depths within our souls, and
beard resentment ceases.

Dear God, today, we thank You for the blessings that you give us, as we pray for our
family and friends who are in need. We thank You for the strength and wisdom that You gran
t to us, and for Your powerful and holy words, as we pray for your guidance for us to get thro
ugh in these trying times. We thank You for our comfort and prosperity, as we share our bles
sings with others. We thank You for our good health, as we pray for those people who suffer
from dengue and coronavirus, may You impart them protection, healing, strength, and hope.
May they and their family find their refuge in Your hands. On this day of giving thanks to You,
may Your love enfold us, may Your peace dwell within us, and may Your joy uplift us.

God, Almighty Father, please help us to place our trust in You and that You are the o
nly God that we praise and believe in. Strengthen our faith and empower us and let your love
take away our fear. God, We ask for Your mercy, as we pray to stop the spread of coronavir
us around the world and combat this pandemic. We know that You are with us in this battle.
We are praying for the frontliners, doctors, nurses, and medical teams, who are fighting, serv
ing, and treating the patients, risking their lives for the goodness of everyone, and trying to k
eep this world safe, we are asking for their protection. And for the researchers of the vaccine
who are trying to find the cure for the virus, we are asking for their wisdom and grant them th
e strength and courage they need in these tough times. We are praying for those people wh
o have lost their jobs due to the (COVID-19) pandemic, may You bless them and provide for
them. We are asking for strength for all the teachers around the world who are still trying to g
ive us the education that we need, and they do not get tired of teaching us. We are praying f
or us students who struggle with online learning and modules, may You give us the wisdom
and strength that we need. We ask you oh Lord, your mercy. We get tired sometimes, but let
Your love and words motivate us to continue in achieving our dreams. Lord God, keep our b
odies and minds strong. Let your angels guide them. Our faith in You is our weapon. May yo
u give them strength and guidance for what they need is Your mercy. Almighty and merciful
God, we come to You in our weakness. We come to You in our fear. Lord in the name of Jes
us. Amen.
