1. One of the argumentations on the PowerPoints is that in this pandemic situation, the most
appropriate assessment approach is performance assessment such as project and portfolios. Write
an assessment task which requires students do something, and write an analytic rubric as the
instrument to assess the students’ performance.
2. At the end of the PowerPoints, there is an argument that, because assessment is very pivotal in
the process of teaching and learning, assessment can be used as the starting point/central in
developing instruction. Which I called Centralizing Assessment in Instruction. Study the
diagram, then try to explain it using your own understanding and words, how assessment be the
core of instruction.

1. Assessment task: Please write an essay that elaborates your thought on the notion of online
education in 2500 words length.

2. Centralizing Assessment in Instruction
Along with the emergence of AKM, teachers are now demanded to realign their way of
thinking where assessment is made the centre of it. Assessment would be so called the starting
point for teachers to begin planning their teaching, how they are going to carry it out, as well as
how they are going to do the assessment. Teachers are now shifting from the traditional vision
where end product is the main priority with the emergence of AKM. The process from the start to
the end will now be the main priority replacing the end product, meaning that students are now
required to be more critical in thinking as well as more reasonable in order to meet the
requirements or the competences come along with the AKM.
