For 8 years in the field of education, I would
consider myself a proficient teacher since I Plan
the lesson that is suitable to learners needs,
implementing these lesson through different
learning strategies so student could grasp the
content of the lesson. Actively engage them
through hands on learning specially this time of
pandemic by providing them modules so they can
still learn at their own pace .Apply knowledge of
content by letting my studnets answer the
activities in their modules. Ensure the positive use
of ICT like allowing them join my online class via
googlemeet to continue quality education .Use of
Mother Tongue, Filipino and English to facilitate
teaching and learning and Establish safe and
secure learning environments to enhance learning
through the consistent implementation of policies,

of becoming more prepared, relaxed and open to
constant change is an essential component to
being successful in this profession despite the
difficult situation.
2. Which of the following gave you given much
consideration in your teaching? Why?
A. Local setting, Values, Tradition and Culture

Lets us accept the truth that culture matters. Culture

isn't just a list of holidays or shared recipes, religious
traditions, or language; it is a lived experience
unique to each individual. As educator, it's my job to
stimulate the intellectual development of children.
The best way is to reach out to them in ways that are
culturally appropriate, in this way I can understand
and know their academic abilities individually, Aside
from culture, values to our youth is more important
than ever.As a teacher educator, we are children’s
biggest and number one influences; and it is our
responsibility to teach our youth about core values
so they may grow up to be caring, confident and
respectful adults.Without values and respect,
children have no sense of purpose and clarity.
B. Global Academic, International development, 21st
century skills
C.
In teaching and learning digital skills, a major
challenge lies in the ‘digital gap’, illustrated by the
fact that almost half of the world still has no access
to a computer or the internet. While radio- and
television-based learning provides temporary
solutions in low-resource regions, learners in
vulnerable settings have to be resourceful and
flexible .In this time of Covid 19 21st century skills is
vital nowadays with the challenge of continuing
quality education despite the difficult situation.
Digital skills has been tagged as highly valuable for
remote learning and a mechanism to help learners
flexibly adapt to current and future crises.
C. Local Knowledge, values, culture, 21st century
skills, International knowledge

3. Where you are teaching, what do you like

most? ( Local or Abroad ) Why?
A. The Learner B. The Learning Environment C. The
Pay 4.

Let’s be practical here ,teaching abroad can be

one of the best decisions you can make, The
number one reason is its very attractive salary.
Teachers are paid a way more than teaching in our
own country. In teaching abroad ,you have to
make sure you’re properly prepared for the
experience you will have in another country. Il be
honest that before pandemic I already searched
for teaching abroad in the US. But this pandemic
make me realize that it’s better to work here in
my own country. When teaching abroad there are
many challenges you will face up front. To begin
with, the learning environment. Teaching overseas
is not easy ,since you are not familiar with the
place the culture the humidity and atmosphere
you have to adjust a lot unlike when we are in our
own country we are used to the weather .Another
thing to consider teaching abroad is the kind of
student you will have. Different culture, alot of
adjustment since foreigner studnets does not act
like what you expect your normal student you
have in our country .Mostly American students
have this dominant behavior that is not easy to
manage. So if I will choose, teaching in our
country is still the best option to take. You have
your families with you and the environment that
your comfortable with.

How do you consider yourself as a teacher? Please

explain A. Local B. Global C. Glocal

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has changed

the lives of people, Schools and universities have
closed, exams and events postponed, the usual
health information services are limited, socializing
with friends and wider family is highly discouraged
and in some places even punishable. Living in these
circumstances can be tough for young people for
their social, physical and mental well being.
Covid 19 is a diseases that spread globally .Access to
healthcare and the broad adoption of hygiene practices
can have a significant effect in reducing the impact of a
pandemic. Teaching this student how we can help
minimize the spread of the disease is so vital today. In
one of the module we have distributed in our students,
one topic tackles respiratory and circulatory disease. So
in those modules students are taught in hygiene practice
that they should follow, social distancing and other ways
they can do to help minimize the spread of the disease at
home and in the community. So in this way, learning
becomes effective when put into local context because
students are better able to relate to the content and
material through familiar examples. The students were
able to relate local issues and the global concepts studied
in my class so I would say I am a “ Glocal” teacher.
