 The main aim of this course is to develop pool of technically trained
manpower readily available for recruitment to the Indian Power
Sector. The course shall enhance the knowledge and skills of fresh
Diploma Engineers seeking career in power & allied energy sector and
those sponsored by various Power Utilities.

The course is modular based and conducted in two semesters each of 26 weeks
duration. . Formal coaching will be held at Regional Institute of NPTI located at
Badarpur (New Delhi). On job training for PDC (PPE) is conducted at nearby power
stations and the training on state of the art simulator, at NPTI Faridabad/ Badarpur or
some other place. During the course period visits are arranged to Thermal Power
Stations, Solar Power Plants, AIS/GIS Sub-Stations, Distribution Sub-Station, Load

ELIGIBILITY:. For PDC (PPE): Diploma* in Mechanical/

Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering
*Graduate engineers are not eligible & admission will be cancelled &
fee will be forfeited if admission is sought by hiding Post Diploma
Qualification.

On Merit basis, % in qualifying examination

TOTAL SEATS: 60* in PDC (PPE) course, Reservation for

OBC/SC/ST/Specially Abled as per Govt. of India Norms. Seats are
also reserved for candidates sponsored from Power utilities.
*The number of seats may be changed at the discretion of the NPTI
TOTAL SEATS management.

PLACEMENT :Many reputed companies visit NPTI for campus

placement. 100 % students got placed in the previous batch,
however placement is not guaranteed

There is no fee concession for any category of candidates. The cost of transportation to local industries/ utilities will be
` 7000/- + GST. Outstation transportation/ boarding/ lodging charges will be borne by the participants separately. A
refundable caution money of ` 4000/- for non hostellers and ` 6000/- for hostellers (refundable subject to full fee
payment) is to be deposited at the time of joining.

LODGING/ BOARDING:
Hostel Facility is provided on first come first serve basis, subject to
availability on nominal charges. Hostellers are to take meals
compulsorily in hostel on payment basis.
