Goals

To the proposed shopping center, Alora mall, aims to incorporate sustainable

design were green parkings, rain harvesting, expansive skylights to provide
sufficient daylighting, the use of solar panels to provide enough percentage of the
malls power requirement, it also include the use of high performance glass, deck
landscaping. Alora mall, design to be a disaster resilient structure, with this, heat
and smoke vents were present, hose reel system, it also provide smoke detectors.
In terms of structural, it was built with the presence of the hysteretic dampers and
shear walls, to counter and absorbs the earthquake effects of lateral load acting
upon the structure, also the materials that we used in the proposed shopping
center were lightweight for the prevention of any other disaster like earthquake.
Facts
The site of our proposed shopping center, located in JP, Laurel Avenue, Bajada,
Davao City, were known as a commercial street, not just known as busy streets
but also known for flood prone area. So, by designing green, Alora mall, creating
a solid foundation for the future possibilities to the environment to build on.
Concepts
One of our main concept is that accessibility-safety, since were building a
shopping center, our main priority is to ensure the safeguard of our customers to
prevent attacks from terrorism. Environmental controls were incorporate, by
designing sustainable, Alora mall not only making commitment to the retail
industry but we are also ensuring the preservation of the environment.
Needs
Since, taking care of the environment is important, and recycling is our main
concept, still our project quality were indeed present. Better environment, better
workplace, better home, and the best service. And as customers evolve, Alora
malls ensure to adapt that there is a preferred sweet destinations for all.
Problem
The problem in terms with Form, is having the considerations that will affect our
building design, and accommodations towards the shoppers and how Alora mall,
preserve its physical environment.
