Task 1

Identify the Appeals to Emotions used in the following sentences.

1. Are you tired of being ignored by your government?  Is it right that the top 1% have
so much when the rest of us have so little?  I urge you to vote for me today!

chose to take your class. By the way, about those two points I need to get an A..."

Chester : No one has been able to prove that people do not have psychic
powers.

9. Shu Cheng and Jia Cheng have some concerns that the rules their society has set are
racist in character. Since Shu Cheng is a decent person, she brings her concerns up in
the next meeting. The president of the society assures her that there is nothing wrong
with the rules, since the majority of the sisters like them.
