CHAPTER IV

PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA

This chapter presents the analysis and interpretation of the quantitative data

gathered through the use of the research instruments which measure and describe the

powdered ceramic tile’s efficiency as a fire resisting component. The data that were

generated from the study were tabulated with the necessary graphical representations. As

mentioned in the previous chapter, the analysis of data used statistical tools appropriately

suited in the interpretation which was based on equally reliable test results.

The entire intervention process took place for one week including the procedures

needed for preparing the materials. The researchers made sure that the consistency of the

materials used was strictly maintained all throughout the entire experimentation. Thus,

only the amount of powdered ceramic tiles differed between the set-ups.

For the quantitative analysis, the data gathered in the experimentation were

analyzed to answer the questions pertaining to the efficiency of powdered ceramic tiles as

a fire resisting component. All statistical analyses henceforth, used α = 0.05. Inferential

statistics such as one-way repeated ANOVA were used to identify any significant

difference in the mean scores of the three set-ups.

The table above shows all the set-ups and the trials with its exact amount of

powdered ceramic tiles, wall paint and the time burning. The independent variable which

is the amount of wall paint and amount of powdered ceramic tiles which is varied with

10g of gap with each set-up.

Trial 2 10 50 17.09

Trial 3 10 50 12.28
Table (number) shows the 3 trials of set-up A and the recorded amount of

time for the fire to vanish.

Table (number) shows the results of the trials in Set-up A. The first set-up is

composed of 10 g of powdered ceramic tiles with 50ml of wall paint. The table shows the

different amount of time it took for the fire to extinguish.

Trial 3 20 50 3.62

Table (number) shows the 3 trials of set-up B and the recorded amount of

time for the fire to vanish.

Table (number) shows the results of the trials in Set-up A. The first set-up is

composed of 20 g of powdered ceramic tiles with 50ml of wall paint. The table shows the

different amount of time it took for the fire to extinguish.

Table (number) shows the 3 trials of set-up C and the recorded amount of

time for the fire to vanish.

Table (number) shows the results of the trials in Set-up A. The first set-up is

composed of 30 g of powdered ceramic tiles with 50ml of wall paint. The table shows the

different amount of time it took for the fire to extinguish.
