A digital organization is one in which nearly all of the organization’s significant business
relationships with customers, suppliers, and employees are digitally enabled and mediated. Like
hospital , all the patients are customers.so hospital is a organization that takes money for services
. Every business organization follows Core business processes that are accomplished through
digital networks spanning the entire organization or linking multiple organizations.

Durning covid 19 pandemic , in our country , infact the whole world ,Health care has never been
easy, but with the coronavirus pandemic a visit to the doctor’s office is just plain risky. That’s
why this crisis has become a moment for online consultations which connects patients to doctors
through the internet. virtual care helps everyone combat the corona virus. this is especially
important for patients who think they have Covid-19 but aren’t sick enough to require
hospitalization. Virtual consultations allow doctors to triage patients without the risk of
spreading the virus, and patients can get quick treatment for their symptoms.

So our hospital is planning online doctor consultations using a new platform. The factors needed
to consider from technical , managerial, organizational dimensions to implement a new
information system. Information system are the foundation for conducting the business today.it
plays a important role for organizational survival and also ensures operational excellence.

Three dimensions of information system.

Technical dimensions
1. Tele communication
2. Internet
3. Computer literacy

Organizational dimensions
1. Top management support
2. Decision making structure
3. organization loyalty

Managerial dimensions

1. Clinical effectiveness
2. Safety and efficiency
3. Responsive governance

information system are socio technical . In the structure all the factors are effected each other.in
the figure , in the technical system , technology and process are affected each other . on the other
hand, all this social system affects as well. An information system creates value for the firm as
an organizational and management solution to challenges posed by the environment. Information
systems are an integral part of organization.in socio technical theory, The key elements of an
organization are its people, structure, business processes, politics, and culture. Our organization
has a structure that is composed of different levels and specialties. From the perspective of socio
technical theory , there is a relationship among these factors from the organizational , managerial
and technological dimensions.

Telemedicine is typically as straightforward as a patient chatting with a doctor over a video call.
Because these consultations require a layer of privacy and security, there are regulations in place
for patients’ protection, but those are changing in the face of the Covid-19 crisis.in a socio
perspective , IT-enriched those platform like zoom , Skype , although the platforms currently
struggling with some security issues. But I have to use a service that’s specifically designed for
online consultations. That’s the cause , computer literacy is very significant for those platforms.
Besides, organizational dimensions , our hospital is well reputed. So patients have a positive
faith over us. Our top management is very appreciable that perceived business challenges in the
crucial environment, they set the organizational strategy for responding to those challenges in a
positive way.

We have to enrich the components of information systems. hardware , software , data and
networking and most important thing is telecommunication technology. tele medicine is tough
without proper internet access. So during pandemic , there is a some hope for all of us combat
against covid 19. clinical effectiveness like provision of technical care , risk minimize care ,
desire patient outcomes and hopefully our hospital is one of the risk minimizing hospital in
Chittagong and efficient doctors ratio is good hopefully all the factors are inter linked .so we
must see a hope that we defense corona virus by raising proper treatment.

Business intelligence (BI) combines business analytics, data mining, data visualization, data
tools and infrastructure, and best practices to help organizations to make more data-driven
decisions. Business intelligence can help companies make better decisions by showing present
and historical data within their business context.

Decision-support systems (DSS) focus on problems that are unique and rapidly changing, for
which the procedure for arriving at a solution may not be fully predefined in advance. decision
support systems (DSS) are interactive applications that support decision making.corona virus is
one of the biggest threats facing humanity today. While a complete elimination of the occurrence
of such threats is improbable, it is possible to contain their impact by efficient management
which depends on effective decision-making. decision support systems are a set of manual or
computer-based tools that assist in some decision-making activity. In today's business
environment, decision support systems (DSS) are commonly understood and help business
owners, executives, and managers resolve complicated business problems and/or questions.a
DSS can support the analysis and solution of a specific problem, evaluate a strategic opportunity
and support ongoing operations.

DSS helps me to take structure and semi structure decisions. Business analysts describe a
structured decision as one in which all three components of a decision—the data, process, and
evaluation—are determined. structured decisions are made on a regular basis in business
environments, that helps me to evaluate the workers efficiency and performance.it may use a
checklist or form to ensure that all necessary data are collected and that the decision making
process is not skewed .on the other hand , with unstructured decisions , decision maker may use
different data and processes to reach a conclusion. Unstructured decision systems typically focus
on the individual who or the team that will make the decision.this approaches helps the workers
to measure their performance.
As a purchasing professional, working with data is inevitable. Microsoft Excel application , that
is very good for dealing with the manufacturers and suppliers. Microsoft Excel offers a very
efficient platform for handling data involved in purchasing activities such as supplier’s delivery
performance, should cost models, analysis of purchasing trends etc.to perform a supplier
performance analysis, need to ensure that there is a system set up to accurately capture the needed
data. This information can be used to measure the vendor’s performance and create an avenue for
improvement or reward as the case may be.

Cost model aids in efficient budgeting .it forms the basis for a negotiation strategy. A pie chart
can prove quite useful in giving a quick concise overview of spend. It clearly shows what
amount/percentage is being spent on a particular service or product.it also important to evaluate
not only suppliers performance but also workers efficiency.

Capabilities of DSS :

1. DSS provide support for decision makers mainly in structured and unstructured
situations by bringing together human judgment and information.
2. Support is provided for various managerial levels.
3. DSS are adaptive overtime .
4. DSS attempt to improve the effectiveness of decision making and also helps the
employees to improve the overall performance.

Everyone knows that the shattering impact of COVID-19 has brought on a business crisis
without precedent in recent memory. Porter’s five forces is a simple & powerful tool for
understanding the competitiveness business environment. It helps to understand organizational
strategy. This is useful for both environment of healthcare industry or other profitable industry.
main fact is this , to adjust the strategy accordingly. Healthcare is an industry that has a very
strong position in economies and a relatively high share of GDP. Medical industry plays an
important role in the delivery of healthcare.
Revelry among the competitors : intense rivalry is faced by the healthcare industry in Bangladesh
during pandemic. Bangladesh is facing major economic crisis making caused by covid 19
pandemic.in fact, epidemics of the size of covid 19 have huge economic impacts in terms of
managing the health crisis. the pandemic has rendered 80 percent workers unemployment . every
medical teams, doctors, nurses plays an important role to defense the pandemic.the industry is
also better able gain benefit cause of high switching cost.

The Bargaining power of buyers : during pandemic , in Bangladesh , buyers hold a week
bargaining power. Because customers hold a weeker position.to avail the healthcare service, a
price has to be paid for it.a high quality care with lesser price should be considered in this time
so that everyone is able to get proper treatment.

The Bargaining power of suppliers : suppliers hold a high bargaining power as the sector is
totally dependent on its services provided. recent times , the suppliers are lesser in number than
the buyers. despite the increase healthcare cost, demand does not stop because people and also
the government is more concerned about people health and quality of life.

Substitute of existing product : customer prefer cheaper prescription medicines. They would
always opt to go where they are able to find cheaper prices.so , customers today also like to adapt
the do it yourself strategy.

Threat of new entrants : the healthcare industry to sustain and compete using evaluation of the
country’s prioritize on policies that reduce cost with a greated efficient system and also
maximize value for the customers. During this crucial time ,every company tries to invent this
vaccine despite a smaller firm.as though few companies dominate this sector. During this time
,the threatof entry of new companies in the market is comparatively very low.

Impact of the internet on competitive forces and industry structure :Because of the Internet, the
traditional competitive forces are still at work, but competitive rivalry has become much more
intense. Internet technology is based on universal standards.

Positioning and rivalry among existing competitors : internet is playing important role during
this pandemic time , telecommunication technology is the major tool to communicate with
doctors .and doctors try to help all the patients.in this situation , increasing the number of
competitors and reducing differences among the competitors. Internet of Things (IoT) makes it
more easy to sustain operational advantages; puts pressure to compete on price.

Customers’ bargaining power : Availability of global price and product information shifts
bargaining power to customers. the Internet raises the bargaining power of customers, who can
quickly find the lowest-cost provider on the web.

Suppliers’ bargaining power : Procurement over the Internet tends to raise bargaining power over
suppliers. Internet plays an significant role . in healthcare industry , during pandemic ,the
suppliers are lesser in number than the buyers. despite the increase healthcare cost, demand does
not stop because people and also the government is more concerned about people health and
quality of life.

Threat of new entrants : Internet reduces barriers to entry, during times alone with athe
reserchers , every industry is trying to find out a solution.they experiment a lot .

Substitute products or services : Enables new substitutes to emerge with new approaches to
meeting needs and performing functions. The growing use of sensors in industrial and consumer
products, often called the Internet of Things (IoT), is an excellent example of how the Internet is
changing competition within industries.

I can’t say that we are all hypocrites. Hypocrisy can loosely be defined as one thing and then
doing/not doing another. Some people are hypocritical on many things in life, some maybe once
in a while, some may always do as they say and say as they do. I feel that most people have to be
a hypocrite at some point of time in their life. But we are all hypocritics about online privacy. In
recent times , many photos of famous celebrities got hacked. It has pitted our feeling of
overwhelming entitlement to other people’s private information in direct contrast with
our mortal terror that any of our own private information may somehow be made
public.this is totally illegal for every persons to hack or publicly presented their private
things. the first important step we need to take is to finally admit to ourselves how much
we all enjoy it. Admit that we are addicted to seeing into other people’s living rooms, and
admit we are comfortable judging them based on what we see.this is really humiliating
for us .

we are hypocrite about social privacy that’s the reason at least someone somewhat
worries about online privacy. here,One of the possible explanations for the privacy
paradox is third person bias. Another, more obvious explanation for the privacy paradox
is a simple risk-reward assessment. Lack of proper caring and lack of ethics ,easily
accessible we are all hypocrites about online privacy.

I know someone who did not care about online privacy and faced trouble. He has a online
business. He sells different types of gadget and electronic components. He promoted his product
via social networking. specially he used facebook for promoting his product.he created a
facebook page for the purpose of his business. he always updated his wall like , features of the
products , price of the products , various items , and so on. He ran his business without any
interruption.as he wasn’t hypocrite enough. He didn’t maintain the privacy issues in a proper
way. the possible explanations for the privacy paradox is third person bias, which suggests that
even when people perceive potential risks in using social media, they somehow believe that
those risks don’t apply to themselves ,just to others. he didn’t care about any privacy paradox.
Unfortunately, his Facebook page was hacked by one his friend who still runs similar type of
business. He took his password of Facebook page, different types of messages specially business
transactions, order list, delivery messages. Besides his email got hacked that was very alarming
for him. After hacked his facebook page, the hypocrite person update his wall for defaming his
business. He spoils his brand image totally. His business was totally collapsed.
More privacy conscious people should consider using a virtual private network (VPN) which
encrypts web traffic and can hide machine’s MAC address, making it difficult for others to snoop
on activity when out and about. If he maintained the above security system and became aware of
social privacy risk, then he could avoid this situation.
