Please read the following before completing the Library Card Registration form.
A library card with Cumberland County Library System opens up a world of possibilities! In addition to
checking out materials, your library card provides access to over 50 professional reference databases
and a variety of library services. Cumberland County Library System makes it easy for you to manage
your library account 24-hours a day through our online catalog and an automated telephone system.
To obtain a Library Card with the Cumberland County Library System, you must:
1. Apply in person at any Cumberland County Library System member library. Be prepared to
provide the completed Library Card Registration form, photo identification and proof of your
current address.

2. Be eligible for a free card. Anyone who lives or pays property tax in Cumberland County or
resides in the Shippensburg Area School District, or is a Pennsylvania resident holding valid
Access Pennsylvania library card is eligible for a free card. If you live outside Cumberland
County and do not have a valid Access Pennsylvania card, you may purchase a non-resident
card for $5 per month.
3. Be age 17 or older; library cards are for people of all ages, and anyone younger than 17 may
apply for a card, however, you must have a signing parent or guardian with proper identification
present.
Mailed, faxed and emailed applications will not be accepted. Please fill out the form below, print it
and take it your local Cumberland County Library System member library. For library locations and
