FORMATION FOCUS:

Demonstrates understanding of the importance of service to others as a dimension of

Christian Discipleship.

GENERAL CONTENT STANDARDS:

Demonstrates understanding of the virtues of sacrifice and compassion when helping others
and putting the needs of others first before one’s own and thinking of others before oneself.
GENERAL PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

Demonstrates ways of sacrifice and compassion when sharing one’s talent and resources for
those in need within his/her home and school

FIRST QUARTER:

CS: Explains the importance of the virtues of sacrifice and compassion

PS: List different ways of showing sacrifice and compassion as a characteristics of Christian
Discipleship

SECOND QUARTER:

CS:  Identifies the importance of the virtues of sacrifice and compassion when helping others 

PS: Shows ways of extending help/ service to others and putting their needs first before oneself

THIRD QUARTER:

CS: Determines different ways of serving/helping others to exhibit Christian discipleship

PS: Participates in different activities by sharing their talents and resources for those who are in need
especially at home

FOURTH QUARTER:

CS: Realizes the value sacrifice and compassion in sharing one’s talent, time and resources for those
who are in need in the school community

PS: Performs different activities that encourage others to share and put the needs of others first
before one’s own
