Vaccines are antigenic substances that are used to generate immunity against a disease.
Vaccines are given to prevent or reduce the effect of infection that causes certain diseases.
Vaccines usually contain agents that mimic disease-causing microorganisms and are often made
from weakened or dead microbes, from their toxins, or from one of their surface proteins.
Currently we are required to do a vaccine. The government will vaccinate covid-19 through two
schemes. First, the vaccine program where the corona vaccine will be free for 30 percent of the
population. Second, independent vaccines which will be sold to 70 percent of the remaining
target recipients of the vaccine. CORE Indonesia's economist, Mohammad Faisal, saw an
imbalance between the two schemes. According to Faisal, the government still has budget
flexibility to expand the number of recipients of free vaccines.
Therefore, he proposed the government to provide subsidies for the poor to ensure equal
distribution of vaccinations. "In 2021, things that are important, such as vaccine subsidies, can
be pushed into the government's strategy to tackle the impact of Covid-19, especially from the
health side," he added. He assessed that the government must look at two main indicators to find
out how much additional people are entitled to receive free vaccines.
However, the problem now is, there are some people who think that this is just a trick to sell the
vaccine. Ribka Tjiptaning said, "He doesn't want to be vaccinated because there are various
prices offered by the vaccine, and of course poor people who don't get the free vaccines will buy
the cheapest vaccines, all of which will initially be vaccinated for free, but eventually the
vaccines will be traded back. And in China this vaccine is not used. And according to the data, it
took Indonesia 10 years to be able to vaccinate everyone in it, whose money can be used to help
people in need.
In conlcusion, This vaccine is actually good for society. because it can block the corona virus
from entering our bodies. But many disagree because the price given varies, which makes
people confused, whether this vaccine is effective or not.
