Offerings
• ProDFK - Dual Fuel Kits
 Used to convert Diesel Engines to work with mixture
of Diesel and Natural Gas
 Use for stationary Power and mobile Transportation
applications
 Key Value proposition is fuel cost reduction and
emissions improvement
• ProEMS – Engine Monitoring Systems
 Helps monitor Diesel Engines using IoT technology
 Can be used to monitor not only duel fuel converted
but also Diesel and Gas engines
 Can also be used to monitor entire Power Generator

Over view
• We have been supplying dual fuel kits for stationary power
generation in India since 2015.
• The scope has been limited to pockets like Gujarat, NCR,
Assam and Godavari basin due to piped gas availablity.
• In the recent years, gas economy has taken off and over
190 cities have been authorized for City Gas Distribution.
• LNG and CNG are also being transported by road to
destinations away from the pipelines. Following this we
have made huge strides in the mining applications.
• The usage of the gas for industrial, commercial and
residential purposes is expected to rise rapidly.

DF for GenSets
• Dual Fuel operation for Stationary Power | Generator
Sets (GenSets) are feasible only if:
 Local power situation is bad because of
generation capacity or erratic T&D network. OR
 Critical manufacturing process requiring uninterrupted
power forces the use of captive DG power OR
 Local utility is taking time to close the last mile gap for
the power connection forcing the use of captive DG
OR
 Local air pollution situation is forcing users to switch
to at least partial gas operation for their DGs.
• For all above the availability of Piped gas or gas in
cascades is the primary requirement.

Duel Fuel Technology

• IC Engines are divided into

 SI - Spark Ignition: Petrol and Gas engines
 CI – Compression Ignition: Diesel Engines
• Natural Gas is cheaper greener hydrocarbon fuel
• Gas Engines are:
 Costlier
 Dependent on reliable gas supply
• ANY diesel engine can be converted to run with a mixture of Gas
and diesel using Dual Fuel Technology
• Dual Fuel Technology is cost effective, easy to
implement, has a short payback, does not derate
the engine output and does not harm the engine.

System Advantages

No loss of power.
Existing assets can be used for generating power economically.
Low Capital cost.
Low cost of generation by usage of cleaner and cheaper fuel.
Rapid paybacks.
Few moving components and hence low maintenance cost.
Use of cleaner fuel – improves emissions.

Gas Availability
• PNG - Piped Natural Gas
 Easiest to handle for stationary Power applications
 CGD’s mainly supply this by laying city wide pipelines

• LPG - Liquified Petroleum Gas | CNG - Compressed Natural Gas

 In rare cases for Dual fuel small engines-based transportation
 Can be supplied in cascades for stationary power

• LNG - Liquified Natural Gas

 For transfer high energy density transfer over on high seas
 Also large diesel engine vehicles like mining dumpers
 Now also transportable in land using cryogenic trucks
