PROJECT PROPOSAL

I. Project Title:
Project “Gulayan sa Paaralan”

II. Project Proponent:

This project is headed by the School E P P Coordinator, School Head, and
Teachers.

III. Project Rationale:

The COVID-19 pandemic is an extraordinary calamity that globally
change the normal situation of people, especially to those who earned daily
basis. Workers who are not regular in his/her job. Those people experience
the hardest time dealing with the pandemic’s impacts on health and health
services, loss of income, limited mobility, and other struggles.
With the present situation of the country, the school will strengthen the
Implementation of the Gulayan sa Paaralan Program to address
malnutrition and promote vegetable production and consumption among
schoolchildren. The school will strengthen school gardens to ensure
continuous supply of vegetables for school feeding, specifically School-Based
Feeding Program SBFP).
Furthermore, the school through the initiative of the teachers will
encourage learners to also have a vegetable garden in their backyard also to
help and support their needs during this so-called new normal of living.
 
IV. Project Objectives:
 Intensify the Gulayan sa Paaralan Program
 encourage learners and parents have a vegetable garden/gulayan in
their backyard.
 Established a school garden to serve as the school source of
vegetables
 Inculcate among learners the value of good health and nutrition

V. Project Description:
The DepEd mandated all public schools to strengthen the
implementation of the Gulayan sa Paaralan for the school to have a source
of vegetables to support the school feeding program. The school EPP
coordinator will spearheaded the implementation of the project.

VI. Project Duration:

The Gulayan sa Paaralan project will be implemented throughout the
year.

VII. Target Beneficiaries:

Wasted and severely learners will be recipients of this project.

VIII. Proposed Budget:

The budget allotted to the project coming from the school MOOE is Php
20,000 the entire school year and school will look for addition fund coming
from the stakeholders and other donors to improve more the school DRRM
room.

IX. Monitoring and Evaluation:

Monitoring of the project should be done monthly to monitor the
implementation of the project.
