Course This course focuses on the study of quantitative methods for

models with business applications to analyze management and
organizational problems. Specific topics include forecasting,
regression, decision theory, linear programming, transportation and
assignment models, and inventory management and queuing theory
models and more.

1. Describe the quantitative analysis approach and the use of
modeling in quantitative analysis.
2. Familiarize the basic and advanced quantitative approaches
and mathematical optimization techniques used to address
managerial and organizational problems
3. Understand, learn and apply the basics and fundamentals of
the various quantitative tools, methods and techniques in
aid to management under varied conditions of decision
making.
4. Gain insight and an understanding of modeling and rational
approaches to decision-making and their contribution to
organizational effectiveness.
5. Select the quantitative technique or model appropriate in
problem solving and decision making situations from various
managerial problems and explain decisions based on
quantitative elements.
6. Interpret results and the impacts they have upon the
problems being studied and decide the appropriate course
of action based on the quantitative analysis performed.
7. Integrate the quantitative methods learned for making
decisions within an organization.
