DESCRIPTION AND USE
CorrShield™ NT4201 is an alkaline, nitrite-based cor-
rosion inhibitor which is designed for use in the treat-
ment of closed water systems. Corrosion control is
achieved by establishing a passive inhibitor film on
the metal surfaces. This film contains nitrite and
organic corrosion inhibitors.
TREATMENT AND FEEDING REQUIREMENTS
Typically the closed cooling water should be main-
tained at a high pH with this inhibitor. Proper treat-
ment levels for CorrShield NT4201 depend on
several factors such as the corrosion potential and
conditions particular to a given installation. The prod-
uct should be used in accordance with control proce-
dures that GE Betz establishes for a specific
application.
CorrShield NT4201 is a liquid blend and is supplied in
55-gallon (208-L), bung-type, non-returnable steel
drums. The product is also available in 5-gallon (19-
L) pails. Contact your GE Betz representative for
details.
STORAGE
Store CorrShield NT4201 at moderate temperatures
and protect from freezing. If frozen, thaw completely
and mix thoroughly prior to use.
