1. Discuss the nature of the pieces

The first picture was a polyresin figured that is manufactured in

China. Polyresin is a resin compound widely used in the production of
statues, sculptures, and artistic furniture. It's a rigid material that can
be molded into complex shapes, enabling a high level of detail and
consistency in texture. On the other hand, the sculpture of Mideo Cruz
was art that combines Catholic religious symbols with a phallic object
and pop culture called Poleteismo.

2. What are the differences between the two?

The difference between the two is that the Polyresin figure is a

decorative art because it is used mainly for cosmetic or aesthetic
purposed. At the same time, Mideo Cruz's sculptural piece is an art
which people give critics because it sorts to condemned religion
though it is his way of expressing art.

3. Look into the elements and principles of art and look further for
discussion points.

4. When you look into the images, what do they evoke in you and your
groupmates? Is there anything or something that they convey?

As I look into the images, I believe the first picture shows a child
feeding ducks, for me it means that children should also be helping in
the household chores in a simple way. The second image is a more
complex type as the artist expresses its emotion through the image.
The image tells us that people back then already believe in Jesus and it
guides them throughout their life since it includes a crucifix.

of message?

The materials used are Alabastrite, a durable stone created by

mixing oxylite and polystone. It's common because it is so basic to
shape and can be melted into a soft form. It holds paint well and has
porcelain looks, but it is heavier and much more durable.

7. What do you think is the creative process involved in creating these

pieces?

Inspiration, Motivation, and Imagination are all part of the

creative process that made these pieces. Finding inspiration is the first
step in creating art. If an artist is inspired, they will create an original
work of art. On the other hand, motivation is an integral part of the
process because it motivates you to do your best to create a sound art
piece. To summarize, imagination is the source of all creation. It
generates one-of-a-kind ideas about what the artist envisions.

8. Do they serve the same purpose of different purposes? support your

answer.

The first image was of a boy holding a bowl and feeding the duck,
I believe these two images serve different purposes. The first image's
purpose is encourage children to help in household chores , whereas
the second image's purpose is to convey a message and features a
religious figure as its subject.
