Day 1: Jane Goodall

Let us protect our planet
When she was a little girl, Jane Goodall

was given a toy chimpanzee that she took
everywhere she went. This sparked her love
for both chimps and the African continent.
She read a lot about her favourite topics
and grew up to become a scientist and
anthropologist. She studied chimpanzees
for over 40 years and devoted her life
to protecting wildlife. Jane has received
many awards for her outstanding work
as a conservationist. To this day, she continues to be an inspiration to
primatologists and animal lovers around the world.

Day 2: Hellen Keller
Never give up!
Helen Keller was a little girl with a mighty spirit.

When she was a baby, she became ill and lost her
sense of sight and sound. This meant that she could
not hear the birds chirping and she didn’t know
what a rainbow looked like. Did that stop Helen from
moving forward? Not at all!
Despite the difficulty, Helen learned to read and

write in Braille, which is an alphabet with raised
dots that can be felt with the fingertips. She began writing stories when
she was only 12 years old, graduated from college, and became world
famous for her strength. Helen could not see or hear, but that didn’t stop
her from achieving her dreams because she never gave up!

Day 3: Muhammad Ali Jinnah
Our Pakistan
Can anyone think of Pakistan’s biggest hero?

Let’s give you a hint; he is the founder of
Pakistan. There would have been no Pakistan
without him. His name is Muhammad Ali
Jinnah and he is also known as
Quaid-e-Azam.
When he was a little boy, Jinnah was honest,

hardworking and had a love for learning.
When he grew up, he became a lawyer. He
longed to see an independent nation for his
fellow muslims and that is exactly what he worked towards. In 1947,
Pakistan was born with Jinnah as its first Governor-General. He gained
even more popularity as he always supported discussion and debate in
his government. He wanted every Pakistani to take care of their fellow
citizens by being tolerant and respecting one another.

Day 5: Albert Einstein
Science is curiosity!
There once was a five-year-old boy whose

father gave him a compass. He was
fascinated by it and always wondered why
the needle pointed north. He didn’t really like
school and was always curious about how
things work in the universe. He loved to build
blocks, play with cards and strum his violin
because it would help him think.
This little boy grew up to become one of the

most famous scientists in the world and his
name was Albert Einstein. He came up with some amazing theories about
light, matter, gravity, space and time. As brilliant as he was, Einstein was
quite slow and forgetful, often forgetting appointments and his socks!
However, being slow doesn’t mean you can’t be brilliant. Einstein won the
Nobel Peace Prize for Physics and made scientific discoveries that help
us understand the universe we live in today.

Day 6: Sadequain
Everyone is born an artist
Once upon a time, a little boy

was born to a family of artists
in Amroha, India. Over time, he
taught himself how to paint with the
most beautiful colours and in rather
unusual ways. His work was quite
different from everyone else’s, but
that’s what made it special! His
name was Sadequain, and today
we admire his artwork all over
Pakistan.
One day Sadequain saw a cactus flourishing in a desert and was

inspired. He loved how it was strong and managed to make it through the
tough times with barely any water. That’s why you’ll see so many cacti
in Sadequain’s paintings. He made over 15,000 artworks that included
gigantic murals, drawings, paintings and calligraphy.

Day 7: Noor Jahan
Sing your heart out
Do you like to sing? We know someone

very special who liked to sing since she
was a five year old girl. Her name was
Noor Jehan and she belonged to a family
of musicians, who all thought she should
develop her talent - so she did!
Today, many years later we hear the songs

she sang and remember her as ‘Malka
Tarannum’ or the Queen of Melody. Those who knew her said Noor Jehan
had a great sense of humour, was generous and a fabulous storyteller.
She also loved dressing up and had a unique sense of style. Silken saris,
glittering jewels and bold makeup were all her favourites. Noor Jehan
sang over 10,000 songs! Many of her songs were about love, our country
Pakistan, and self-celebration.

Day 8: Abdul Sattar Edhi
Sharing & Giving
Once upon a time in the city of Gujrat,

was a little boy named Abdul Sattar Edhi.
Growing up, he always remembered his
mother asking him to share as much as he
could – so that’s what Edhi did. He wanted
to help as many people as he could and
felt that one doesn’t need to be rich to
help others. He believed in showing love
and being kind to one another, even if that
meant something as simple as passing a
smile.
As an adult, he started the Edhi

Foundation, an organization that helped all those in Pakistan that needed
support. Starting from an ambulance service, Edhi went on to extend his
foundation to old age homes, orphanages, hospitals and even educational
services. He would gather
donations from people who wanted
to help and distributed it among
the needy. He has taught us that
sharing truly is caring.

Day 10: Malala Yousufzai
Reaching for the stars
Once upon a time, a girl was

born in the beautiful valleys of
Swat, Pakistan. She was named
Malala after a famous poet and
warrior woman from Afghanistan.
Where she lived, women were not
encouraged to go to school, but
Malala loved studying! She wanted
to study with her friends and learn
everything. Some days she would
dream of becoming a doctor and
saving lives while on other days
she wanted to work for her country and lead as a politician.
Malala and her father raised their voice to encourage young girls to
embrace education as that was the single most important skill that could
help them achieve their dreams. Today, Malala is giving Pakistan a good
name worldwide. Her strong passion for education made her open many
schools for young girls in her country. She also started a Malala fund
that aims for a world where every girl can learn and lead. Many people
from all over the world give donations and support Malala to help these
girls study. Malala teaches us to fight for what we believe in, to make
our country a better place and to reach for the stars no matter what
problems come our way!
