LRC FUNCTIONS and OBJECTIVES

Learning resource centers benefit students by supplementing

the learning process. They function as a place to introduce, reinforce
and expand student learning, and can be school- or community-based.
Centers can provide access to learning materials or serve as a
peer learning center.

The LRC is expected to function with the following as standard

objectives:

1. To harvest a well-organized resource and participate effectively in

the school program as it strives to meet the needs of the students,
teachers, administrators and other members of the school community
in the pursuit of relevant and excellent academic program.

2. To involve different subject areas and group in the community to

utilize the different LRC resources effectively and efficiently and
become independent researchers and users of the LRC.

3. To make students become responsible and skillful users of all forms

of available materials in the library and acquire desirable social attitude
and responsibility that will help them in their spiritual and moral
development.

4. To assist students in the promotion of an enriched Filipino culture

by providing an access with information on nationalism, social issues,
and responsibility.
CREATION OF LR CENTER and
COMMITTEE MEMBERS

The school LR center and committee were

created last 2017 headed by the former School Lr
Coordinator Mrs. Cristina Abanador.
This school year 2020 - 2021, the committee
composition was strategically planned and created to
meet the demands of the new normal education. The
committee planned for the year-round activities of
LRC like mapping of instructional materials for every
quarter, creation of learning activities sheets,
quarterly subject activities, resource harvesting and
updates in LRC.
