ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
LEARNER INFORMATION SYSTEM/BEIS
S.Y. 2020-2021
I. INTRODUCTION

In 2011, the Department of Education initiated the Learners’ Information System


(LIS), an online facility that provides for the registration of learners enrolled in public
schools. Since its installation, the LIS has allowed the Department to generate the total
public-school enrolment based on the actual registration of learners. The LIS is an
innovative tool that the Department uses to manage information with the aim of promoting
transparency, informed decision making, and empowerment at different levels of the
organization. The Basic Education Information System (BEIS) is the primary MIS of the
Department of Education. The BEIS processes data required for budget preparation,
resource allocation and performance monitoring. 

II. ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN

The following are activities or programs undertaken:


1. Updating School Profile in the EBEIS
2. Creating Classes in the LIS.
3. Assist advisers in enrolling Learners in the System
4. Providing Technical Assistance on BOSY Enrolment of Learners and Validation of
Updated School Form 1
5. Quarterly Monitoring and Evaluation on the LIS/BEIS enrolment.
6. Submitting copy of accomplished GSHSP/GJHSP for validation.
7. Provide Technical Assistance to advisers of classes with Issues and Concern on
Learners Profile, Multiple Enrolment, Multiple LRN, Late
Enrollees, Transferred in and out.
8. Updating EOSY Status of Learners, Resolving Toggle List Issues and Finalizing
classes and schools.
9. Providing Technical Assistance to advisers on updating EOSY Status of Learners and
Validation of School Form 1, 5 and 6.
10. Online Monitoring on Updating of EOSY Status of Learners and Finalization
11. Consolidation of SF5
III. PROBLEMS MET
Due to slow connection sometime. Advisers can’t access to the system
immediately.
IV. RECOMMENDATION
Providing fast and reliable internet connection to every rural school is needed.
