1. To expand teachers skills and knowledge on different digital teaching materials and system
approaches that are useful in delivering quality instruction.
2. To acquire continous professional growth for quality education.

1. Introduction/Rationale/Objectives

Education is a continous process of learning wherein teachers are expected to acquire

continous professional growth amidst Covid -19 pandemic to support DepEd’s endeavor towards
quality education. Virtual In-service training is one way of enhancing teachers capabilities and act
as catalyst for teachers effectiveness. It is a way of updating teachers’ skills and knowledge for
improving teaching and learning which lead to better job performance.

In compliance with the DepEd Order No. 012 s. 2021 and Schools Division Memorandum
No. 49,s. 2021, teachers attended the virtual In-service training last March 15-19,2021 using the
Alternative workArrangement.

All the topics takled by the different speakers were attended by the teachers through the
official YouTube channel of the DepEd EdTech Unit. The speakers shared their knowledge and
expertise to ensure the continuity of learning and to spupport learners’ needs.

After the daily topics teachers were able to answer the test given by the speaker to be able
for them to get their certificates.

Indeed the Virtual Inset is the right avenue for re-skilling & upskilling of teachers for the
new normal in education. It equipped teachers with adequate new knowledge & skills in delivering
quality instruction. The undying support of education leaders for teachers, learners & parents, and
the long term impact of virtual Inset manifest a clear future ahead. Virtual Inset is a proof that no
global crisis can stop education from soaring and prospering the education sector.
