Narrative Report on the Custer INSET 2021

Peoples' daily life has changed rapidly, since Covid-19 started expanding around the globe. It brough
danger, fear, and changes that hinders education. Despite of these barriers, learning must continue to grow and
prosper.

Despite of danger that interfere, passionate and enthusiastic JHS and SHS teachers of San Gabriel
conducted a 4-day Custer INSET last March 15-18, 2021 at San Gabriel Vocational High School with 81 participants.

The program started at 8:30 and commenced with preliminaries and an opening and welcome remarks from
Dr. Maribel C. Reyes, Principal of the host school. As part of the program, the first hour of the session was been
maximized in the planning and preparation of the activity.

The first day of INSET was being facilitated by the chosen participants of the 3-day seminar conducted last
March 10-12. They re-echoed the things they aspired from their seminar. They were Mr. Ronal Rigua and Ms. Gladys
Baoas of TVL, Ms. Alma Wagay and Ms. Yenwyn Dagul of Filipino, Ms. Erlinda Garcia and Ms. Magdalena Galvan of
English, Ms. Dionisia Maspilan of AP and Ms. Aroma Jane Franco, Marie Ann Sacquiaten and Christine Ballucating
of EsP. The whole day was filled with sharing and teaching of concepts and strategies on module writing, enhancing
reading comprehension and proper Discipline and right conduct of every teachers.

The second day was the continuation of the first day of INSET. Teachers were divided into their learning
area and have been facilitated by the chosen facilitators. They were asked to come up with an output per session
(summative test for quarter 3, reading and writing strategies, information about the municipality, and strategies in
teaching Esp)

The third day of INSET was about a discussion of Video Explainer. And was being facilitated by the ICT
Coordinators. They enriched the knowledge and skills of teachers in utilizing the ICT as the current need and trend of
the new normal. Teachers were also asked to prepare an output of video explainer. The afternoon session has been
utilized in the preparation of Video Explainer.

The fourth day of INSET was used as the preparation, presentation, and evaluation of video explainer. In
the morning teachers were given the chance to finish, polish and finalize their outputs and as for the afternoon
session, the facilitators gave their evaluation of all the submitted outputs on video explainer and chose the best video
explainer.

It was a fulfilling and fruitful session. We are really refreshed and enlightened. We know that through all the
things we learned we are now more equipped and competent t. With all the things done today be it all God’s glory.
